I can’t believe what I do. Tomorrow I will go for a walk without my phone 5 mins before the game starts and return home 10 mins after the game is due to finish. I will then go in the kitchen and pluck up the courage to check the result on my phone. If we win I watch the full match ( as recorded ) if not I delete it and go back out. It makes me feel ill and always has done. I’m 62 and so this will be the way it is for every derby. Hate it.

Bit nervous about tomorrow but I had to do some filming today for Scandinavian TV at Hotel Football explaining the history of the derby (it’ll be shown before the game in Norway for any Blues based over there) and it got me buzzing a bit. I heard a few Reds milling around OT talking as if they were going to walk it and it reminded me of those days like the 5-1, the FAC semi and so when they seemed to think it’d be an easy win. I’m still a bit nervous (as I guess we should be on derby day) but I’ve also had a read of some of the 55 separate articles all tagged Manchester Derby on my website to get me in the mood. If you want to look back at past derbies take a look at the stuff here:

Cmon City! You know we can do it!

I think this game will be won in midfield. If Kevin, Rodri and Bernie are at their best, we will win.
Casamero has strengthened them in midfield and Ericsson, is a clever player. We have to win our battles and attack their back four.
If that's our midfield I'll be more than happy.

I can't stand derbies, to be honest. Even when we're overwhelming favourites (which isn't the case tomorrow), the mere possibility of losing to that lot makes me nauseous. I just want it over, done and out of the way.
Yep, if we lose no tv, papers or media and ignore all phone calls and messages until end of the week

I've noticed that one of the things that a lot of people fail to realize is that we played the rags after their 3 week absence from any games due to the Queen's death and the momentum which they had (they were on a good run) had already been broken per se. So truth be told i'm kinda squeamish about tomorrows game.

If we turn up, we win regardless of how the vermin play. If we don’t, anything could happen - if we’re as bad as Wednesday, a loss is likely.

However, don’t believe all the hype about Utd. They haven’t steamrollered anyone, they’ve ground out a string of results against the lesser teams. Fair do’s, you can only beat what’s in front of you, however, they haven’t played a team with our quality since they last played us and got reamed.

I think we will turn up. I fully expect KdB, Haaland and Bernardo to rip them a new one, particularly after that shit show on Wednesday.
