Would always make an exception for them.scoring 3 or 4 against the rags last night would have been anything but boring

Is this a wind up?Pep fucking around with the lineups is really damaging our consistency as a side. its no wonder there's a different performance each week.
Eh! Pass accuracy means the percentage of passes completed so we weren't constantly kicking the ball into touch or missing another player by yards last night.
Nothing to worry about then ;-)
Team selection last night can be criticised because we lost the game 1-0, but whatever it was meant to do we absolutely ripped them apart for 20 minutes, we just didn't score, so it couldn't have been that far out, our problem seems to be that too we run out of steam if we don't score early, and then start flapping if we concede, nobody would live with that first 20 minutes yesterday, but we have to score first. How many times this season have we done that, then conceded from the first goal attempt ?.
I'm unconvinced that 2 RB's and 1 CB was to clever for that game, especially with Bravo behind them (and he didn't do much wrong, in fact he didn't do much all night), even for Pep, but the rest in that first 20 minutes were outstanding, all of them, and it seems to have been forgotten by the majority.
And what I'm saying is that of those passes that didn't complete a large number weren't because the ball didn't quite come off or was intercepted by the opposition they went miles wide of the mark - way off our usual standards.
Not for the whole game but there were definite periods of play where we couldn't have found each other even if roped together.
Did you even watch the match?
No it wasn't, the fault was having small players on heading in the box for a free kick (no slight on Bernardo by the way), but that said, it is not a defensive 3 I want to ever see again, as its not good enough.I thought team selection was fine. I also thought it was fairly obvious that Pep had Cancelo and Walker in for their pace and given how little Bravo had to do, it cannot be said to have failed, it wasn't to blame for their goal.
Sanguine, what a great word when we've got through to a cup final. Dave is Dave and I'd have been more surprised if he'd shotWas disappointed with the performance last night, but am more sanguine about it today. The hard work was done at Old Trafford, and last night was just about seeing the job through which we did. Would've been nice to have beaten them in both legs, but it'll soon be forgotten and the history books will show that we made it to the final, and they didn't. Still no idea why David Silva didn't shoot, but he has plenty of credit in the bank.
