United (H) - League Cup SF 2nd Leg Post-Match Thread

I disagree, just on a human level. I do not expect everybody on a forum to be "logical" when watching the team they love do that.

Sure some people can do it, but to be completely objective and check my emotions? Can't do it.

So true.

City sends me over the edge. I want us to win so badly and when we do shit things and do stupid things, I get angry.

Those that are happy whether it’s sunny or rainy are the ones who aren’t proper blues, if anyone is, not that I’m saying they’re not.

Obviously delighted to get to another final, but that was a really poor performance again tonight. Far too many players out of sorts.

I really don’t think we was that bad, it’s incredibly frustrating but most of that first half and a large chunk of the second we was dominant. The wasting of chances is the main concern.

Fair enough. I get that. But like I said, people who can control their emotions might not appreciate it, in the same way you might not appreciate a few wasteful misses.

You're entitled to feel like you should be able to express yourself. But by the same token others should be able to react to those expressions in the way they'd like to too.
I completely agree. That's why I haven't gotten angry at any posters on here.

I'm angry at the team. If I slagged off any posters on here I apologize, I agree in that I can't be angry at people during these high emotions, and didn't realize if I had been.

I think many on here wouldnt know a football performance if it was played out in their front fucking gardens!

Go watch the first half of the first leg and then the second half of this evening. Then write a report comparing the two and I’ll mark you mate.

Good performance, Jesus wept.

Their recent record against us at home is good but they haven't been outplaying us or anything close to that. That said we don't want to give them any false hope or any encouragement, that they might be closing the gap on us. The first leg knocked their confidence and reminded them they are nowhere near us, they looked so humbled after that game, players and fans alike.

I don't want them back challenging again, so we need to keep knocking them down a few pegs whenever we face off from now on. No more slip ups.

Just got in.

Not read thread, bar a few posts.

My 2p - I thought we were fucking appalling and I’m fast moving towards a “Pep has ran his course” position.

Losing to them twats, regardless of the odd opportunity spurned, was a fucking disgrace.

Selections and tactics have gone to shit, players are playing wank.

How the fuck, on god’s earth, did Sterling complete 90 mins tonight?

Rodders, imo, was the only player who had a game anywhere near expectations.

Fucking shite.

The fuck is wrong at time’s with our players?

Miss the most piss easy chances you could see gifted to a professional footballer.

Bravo the first shot, first goal wonder.
