Jack Grealish is a busted flush at City, love him as a lad, but since the treble he has fallen off a cliff, how the fuck can a 100 million pound midfielder not get into that midfield, amongst a team devoid of options, energy, spark, and yet he is a 10 minute sub, it's a sad reflection on how he has managed his City career, KDB, Gundo and Bernie should be behind him on age and fitness and yet Pep cannot get him into the side, it's a complete mystery to me. We saw a flash of his ability against Forest, on the bench against Palace, crap against Juve, and back in the cycle of being a bit part player, nowhere near good enough.

He might swing it back around. More chance than a few of them

Haven't turned on the telly since yesterday afternoon, I won't be turning it on either, At this rate I'm sure Netflix are probably showing the highlights of the game.

Couldn't even listen to the radio today without them constantly banging on about it ffs

Decided firmly at full time yesterday on a complete media blackout for a week. It's easier for me, not living in the UK. Wanted to know the cricket (pretty shit news on that, too, actually, but at least England have got the series won), so looked on BBC website and headed straight for Cricket, without so much as glancing at other sports headlines. Did not listen to Radio 4 for the news, which I sometimes do, because I felt it at least possible that even in the general news they would mention yesterday.
Did not look at this thread, and of course have only looked at the last few pages. I knew that the opening pages would be frothing and foaming at the mouth, and not much else.
Have not watched the match, yet. I supposed I'll impose it on myself, we all have to wear our sackcloth.
Sick to my stomach about chucking that away. But in any case, the problems go deep, everyone can now see that, and a win would not have changed those underlying issues.

It's dead simple, he's not being utilised correctly, you could argue that it was never going to work. He's not a cog in a machine sort of player, he used to thrive on the responsibility he was given at Villa. As soon as he arrived at City, he went into the Pepification process, for most players this works, sadly it hasn't really happened for Jack, and Pep is too stubborn (as great managers are) to change his system to fit him a any individual player.

I agree. Although I criticised him on the match day thread for his mistake, I since remembered Foden did similar against Palace last season, and KDB against Forest recently played a back pass that very nearly cost a goal. I hope Nunez gets another opportunity. His penalty in the Charity Shield was something else!

Don't forget Johnny Stones got absolutely slated early days here for loads of costly mistakes. Walker even in his prime had a mistake in him.
