United (H) Post Match Thread

Well the last game I went to in the cup against them they beat us at the Etihad 1-0. We still went through but like today it was an absolute embarrassment, one they seem more than capable of recreating time and time again.
It was a 2-leg game and we won the tie. What's your point?

If we want to go to truly to the next level, i.e a serious powerhouse winning the CL every 5 years or so and making semis regularly on top of that, then we simply have to sign galactio or two to our frontline

Sanchez was very good for Barcelona, like Sterling overall for us now, but they went to next level by selling Sanchez and signing Suarez.

City need something like this now to really break the ceiling.
As I have said 3 times now, name names of who we can replace him with. It's alright saying get rid, but who can we replace him with??

The defence is definitely looking weaker since Pep started rotating to keep people happy.

Yes it's important to keep Laporte happy, and Ake when he gets back but Pep needs to settle at some point because the longer he's rotated the 3 CBs, the weaker the defence is looking.
I agree with your first line, but I think it's more than keeping Laporte happy. If we play Stones and Dias every 3 days, at some point one of them may get injured and then you are bringing a totally rusty Laporte. At the business end of the season, we need rotation so all players are ready to step-up when needed.

Yeah that's fair, particularly with Stones' injury record.

But we have to set at some point. Let the Stones-Dias partership get their rhythm and sense of dominance back before the CL quarters/semis.

Greatness. We need wingers that can bail us out themselves when we are poor not bottle chances others create
He's our top scorer and second highest in asissts in what will be another title winning team, having previously won a domestic treble and a record breaking season. What does greatness look like to you? Who are you bringing in that can do everything Sterling can do positionally and tactically *and* have Aguero's ruthlessness in front of goal?

Grealish is an obvious choice - plays same position. But I honestly am not sure he will be superior to Sterling. There are infuriating things about Raheem (inability to beat full backs, misses sitters) but his movement and positioning are second-to-none and you really see that when he is not playing.

Grealish gas scored 37 goals in 238 career appearances. Half of those were in the championship.
