Are we flat track bullies?. Get the impression we lose matches of major importance with this group.

We're fine when on top and all going well. Off script and we're fucked. No plan B.

That depends how big a game you consider it actually was. I suspect Pep looks at the bigger picture and actually saw it as just another league game in a season which we’ve already won the league.

It’s not like we had a big game we needed everyone rested for in the midweek though. It’s Southampton at home.

If we had the CL game this midweek then some of the decisions would have made more sense.

Have we not just been on an incredible run that has us at the top of the league with a decent gap and alive in 3 other competitions?
I get what you mean but you simply can't win every game.

I see what you mean in a way but if plan A is this successful then I can live with the odd blip.

Think of it this way would you trade yesterdays result if it meant trading everything else (2nd, knocked out of two cups and 11 points behind)

can you imagine if we lose on wednesday this place will go into meltdown.i just hope the rag result dosnt knock our confidence and we start slowing things down too much,i think bernie and foden plus walker need to start.walker is our best right back cancelo can rotate with zinch but we need his pace

I don’t agree with Walker being our best RB, I think he has a brain fart or two in his locker. His pace gets him out of trouble. I think he gets caught in two minds too often and doesn’t offer what cancelo does in midfield in terms of possession and positional play, Cancelo for whatever reason stayed too rigid at right back too often and it allowed too much space in midfield for United. The whole team for 60 70 mins looked rigid and played in straight lines up and down the pitch. Gave away possession cheaply and missed good chances. But most importantly left far far too much spaces for United too attack. We weren’t patient enough with the ball and too far apart and too wide.

My point is broader and goes back 3 or 4 years. We never seem to recover from a setback in game. We never seem to win big big games.

If we had to play Bayern in a two legged match I'd fear we would get obliterated, for example

Yes but we don’t know what’s been said to players, who’s trained well, whatever. Let me be clear: I wouldn’t have picked that team. But Pep might not have wanted to leave Sterling out because he’s promised him he will play in the big games. He might have concerns about KDB being unhappy, he might have thought he trained well, he might have even thought we’d smash them with Kev still getting up to speed.I honestly don’t know. What I do know is that Pep knows better than you and me and sees the big picture. This was just another league game where everything that can go wrong did, and we were still the better team. Let’s see where we are at the end of the season.

we"ll have to agree to disagree then.his electric pace stops a lot of problems yes he does have the odd blip but the positives far outweigh the negatives.i thought cancelo was part of the problem yesterday giving it away up the field but having no pace to get back.i just think we look a better unit at the back with kyle in it.

Hard to disagree especially in the CL. That Liverpool game away where we absolutely collapsed in 15 minutes and that nightmare first 10 vs spurs. Bit of a wobble seems to knock the confidence of the team. We was so open yesterday on the counter again. Go back to the cup game United didn’t have a sniff we defended superbly
