United (H) Post Match Thread

That's kind of the point though. We cant respond to adversity, we go down or behind we're pretty much fucked, in the main.

Those mistakes are always there too.

I genuinely fear playing against a side that are actually good.

Bayerns wingers running at Cancelo and Zinchy would give you nightmares for example
Actually thats bullshit mate. How can you say that when we had 23 attempts on goal compared to their 8 ? How is that not reacting to adversity ? AND we weren't even playing that well. We just didnt finish the chances. BTW I reckon Pep will have system to nullify Bayerns wingers. We were just off yesterday, we've been fucking brilliant this season and running teams into the ground.

There’s the stats (de bruyne created 8 chances) and what it felt and appeared like. Apart from Rodri hitting the post it wasn’t until foden came on and had that turn and shot in the box and the sterling open goal Miss that it felt like we had any decent chances and didn’t feel like we really had them under pressure. It just never felt like we were going to score yesterday.

Zinc and Whippy had good chances first half and Mahrez right on halftime

We took a while, but I thought we responded by taking control after the first 10-15 minutes, creating enough chances to have at least drawn level, and for 30 minutes of the first half we played much as we have for the previous 21 games.

Then we had half time, and almost immediately gifted them a second through our own mistakes.

After that we still created enough chances to turn it around, but Sterling, Gundogan, Jesus, and others couldn't find the goal.

We had 23 goal attempts to their 8, so we should be winning that.
Tbh mate even with all them attempts you mentioned I don’t remember Henderson having to make one good save .
I never felt like we were gonna score , just felt like one of those games to me .
I think the effort was there , just didn’t seem to be able to break them down .
And we looked vulnerable every time they broke forward .
Just have to chalk it up to bad day at the office , because we’ve been Brilliant over the past few months .

Also, we went to Anfield and smacked them (when that was still something of a fortress), after being pulled back to 1-1 with their obligatory penalty. Lesser teams would have folded then. Same against Wolves when we under the cosh for 5 mins after their goal but re-gained the ascendancy. We've had nerves of steel this season - Sun was just one of those days. We stuffed 'em in the Cup - I'd have been far more upset if we'd lost that one.

This year only...

We've beaten

chelsea A 3-1 PL
united A 2-0 LC
liverpool 4-1 A PL
spurs 3-0 H PL
everton A 3-1 PL
arsenal 1-0 A PL
west ham 2-1 H PL
I would also bet heavy money we will beat Leicester comfortably at the King Power. Sorta like when Palace beat us at the Etihad with Townsend's one in a million and we then walked all over them at Selhurst Park

I can respect the difference of opinion but the shift in mentality on the forum if we do not win or, perish the thought if we lose, is too extreme for me. Members who have held an opinion about a player since their first sight of them immediately use the negative match result to criticise the player having been silent on the player during the winning run.
We are all pissed off with a loss, especially to United, but to once again start condemning players as shite, when they are patently world-class, is utter nonsense and not the actions of a supporter, in my view.
Brilliant words. Fully agree with you .

Exactly. It’s as though we were never going to lose another game and that other teams are not allowed to beat us. It happens. It’ll probably happen again soon, hopefully it’ll just have the same consequence. Hurt pride.

Still fucking angry with pep’s tactics: What the fuck is he thinking telling Jesus to be in our fucking box kicking someone over in the first minute?

Edited to make my sarcasm a tiny bit clearer
