Fernando is shite, no other way to put it really. Have you seen our win percentage when Fernando and Fernandinho play in midfield together? Pathetic.

Maybe, but we play 4-4-2 and we lack balance in the midfield. Silva isn't playing centrally in his favourite position behind Aguero and he is completely isolated in a wide position. It is a tough one to call but we just do not have adequate replacements for any of these players. Quite remarkable considering the amount of money we have spunked on players.

I thought Fernando did well. Won his challenges. Bony did well too

Fernando is a defensive player. It's the offensive part of our game that we need to improve. We need to get bodies in the box. Midfield is the weak point of our team.

I think the various personnel are often incidental to the outcome of a football match. More important are determination across the team, closing down the oppo man on the ball and not letting them stroll thirty or forty yards and then pick from a selection of passes, and having players who can tackle effectively. All missing today for some reason.

I'm half joking though Clichy offers absolutely nothing attacking wise and he's not really Maldini in defence too.

Apart from tripping over the ball when he just had to roll it into Aguero's path on the edge of the box, taking a fresh air shot from 6 yards at the near post and repeatedly mistiming his jumps and getting underneath the ball challenging for headers, I suppose the rest of his game was average. Kelechi was still the better bet by some distance.

Just seen the 'tackle' on TV - blatant dive. He rides the contact and then decides as per Carrington training that if you feel a breath of air inside the penalty area it's mandatory for Rags to go down. He didn't go down on the contact, he went down a pace and a half later. The young lad has incorporated the usual Rag cheating a la Ash the Crash into his game already!

We aren't good enough full stop.

The player who formed the spine of Mancini's team is failing, but he just can't seem to rebuild the team even though he has some great players at his disposal.

Not many are Maldini. Even the best PL teams have at best a poor imitation of Maldini, but Clichy and Sagna are good fullbacks but they don't have a great deal of attacking flair. Sagna goes down the wing but invariably comes back and passes the ball backwards, he never attempts to get round the full back like Zab, and Clichy has little attacking talent.
