United Post Match Thread

Not a single youngster in our team, they start with three and bring on more.

Which team has the brighter future?

It's is the one area that Pellegrini has completely failed in. He is a shit manager and coach but his treatment and underuse of young players has been absolutely shocking to the point that when we have needed them, they can't be trusted because they have had no game time.
He doesn't even trust a player who not that long ago scored a hat trick away in the cup and a great equaliser against Spurs.

We virtually played a dead rubber on Tuesday night and Kelechi wasn't even on the bench!

Abysmal.

I must admit I had £150 on a ushited win at 7/2. Could not resist. My thoughts were if City win ,quite happy to loose it, if City draw not so happy to loose but at least we keep the 4 point cushion. If we loose it will soften the blow but it has not. I have never been so down about a bookie giving me money. All that money spent on this squad for the pile of pooh we witnessed today. The result was soooo predictable.

Nice win!

It's lose by the way...

really who makes pep starting 11 from this squad

1 Hart

17 KDB

10 Aguero

silva does not work hard for the team yes a great players but maybe time is up in England
yaya well if he stays next season it will be only for selling pies
sterling could be world class but needs a arm around him and maybe pep is just the man to bring him out of his shell

now I don't really see any player other than I have said that pep could build a team from this squad to fight for champions league and premier league titles. its weak and just not good enough for a top manager and it would take a very big clean out and a mix of youth and world class players to even think of winning in Europe we are so far behind the top 4 clubs Europe and even Juve and a couple of the german teams I just don't see pep and his magic working with the squad we have right now
I'd add Fernandinho and maybe Navas
I think there is some hyperbolic attitudes in regards to the squad and the future under Pep.

We don't need 8 or 9 new signing like Carragher has suggested. We just need 3 or 4 top quality ones. We need 2 top quality CMs (Gudogan and Pogba etc), a fast attacking player and a full back. Add the likes of Denayer, Garcia and Angelinho and we will be good to go. Rashford has shown that youth players can make the step up if given the chance.

We simply just have an absolute fraud of a manager. He is absolutely useless. We have no game plan and that is the main reason we are struggling. It's almost as if Yaya, Kun and Silva have free reign to do whatever they want on the pitch and the other players just have to shoehorn their game around them.

All three of them ignore their defensive duties, come deep for the ball, and Kun aside, offer zero off the ball forward movement. Because of their inability to defend we have Fernandinho, Navas and Sterling who have to be much more disciplined and means they cannot get forward as much as they should. As a result we have a piss poor attack which is slow and laboured.

You only have to look at Bony's relationship with Kun to see that there is no team plan. When they are both playing in a 4-4-2 the immobile Bony is the one who has to drop deeper and Kun is the more advanced despite all of their attributes suggesting it should be the opposite. Bony should be the target man and Kun should be buzzing around him. Then when Kun is the lone front man, the fucker is never in the box. Pellers should be out there making sure he is in the box. We don't need our only CF to be running out wide or picking the ball up 40 metres from goal.

Then we have Spanish Dave who would drive a Ferrari like a Micra. I love the guy to bits but he needs to fuck off slowing play right down at every opportunity. All the time he seems to want to take the extra touch or play that extra pass instead of upping the tempo. Sometimes when you aren't creating chances you just need to gamble.

Leicester and Spurs ar ethe two best sides in this league by a country mile and that is solely down to their players buying into their managers plan. Both of them sides play greater than the sum of their parts.

When Pep arrives every single player will either have to adapt to his plan and way of playing or they will be shown the door.

My favourite post of the day Spot-on Sir

Are Didsbury dave and co still posting here telling us how right the club got it with the appointments of Txiki/Pellegrini etc? Lol

The horrible feeling for me is that you never once felt like we'd score. It was just huff and puff with no quality whatsoever. Look at Lpool when they played them, over the two legs they carved them up numerous times and we couldn't even do it once.

You are the manager until the end of the season. Pellegrini has gone.

You have to work with the players (and injuries) we have got.

What would YOU do, to ensure we finish in the top four?[/QUOTE]

Hart
sagna. Mangala. Clichy
Fernando
Navas fernandinho Toure Silva
Kelechi. Aguero

So because the wanker who is the worst player I have ever seen pull on God's own clubs shirt on for is so wank.....we probably loose our best keeper for the qtrs of the champs league.....bet that dressing is a hoot at the min.....Martin take a bow you prick
Would you like to qualify this by adding "since we won the lottery" or do you really think he's the worst? Or have you only been watching for a few seasons? Alan Kernaghan, Jamie Pillock and quote a few of the 1997-98-99 squads (the three lowest final league positions in our history) must run him close.

The rags had to play teenagers because of their injury problems. Rashford did really well in his first games so LvG persevered with him. Contrast that to MP and Nacho - puts him on the bench despite his good performances simply because his senior striker (sic) player is fit again and persists with him even though his performances have been dire.

Your in denial , like Pellegrini in a nightclub full of fanny flashing his coaching badges around .

Fuck me, are you related to him?

Or just his fucking carer?
hes drunk, tomorrow he will sober up and realise what an utter "whopper" we have in charge.

He's lashing out

Can't argue with any of that.

Indeed. People call Van G the tactical turtle....Christ knows what this makes Pellegrini.
