United Post Match Thread

are KDB and Nasri match fit for Bournemouth? If so, where do you reckon they play assuming pellers plays a mid 3?

Our build up play is slow, slow, slow, sideways and always keep possession because we have a lazy mentality from our attacking midfielders who don't want to track back if there's an ineffective cross and lo behold we may have to mark up and track the runners if a counter attack from the opposition is in order, God forbid. It's a paradox. Our two best players in recent years Silva and Toure who have been instrumental in our recent successes are the two who make us look lackluster now. Navas's crosses often come to nought and are negligent because by the time he finally collects it on the wing he has two or three players marking him.

I keep saying I just can't wait for next season. But the fact is. I'm not even looking forward to next season anymore because unless that fraud of a manager fucks off before pep comes, we will be finishing 6th maybe 7th in the league the way we are playing. None of them are arsed. There was only 4 players on that pitch at the end of the game that I would want to play next season and that's Aguero fernandinho toure and silva. That's it. A big big clear out Is needed end of.

You can blame the linesman for not giving offsides and so on and so on but they should have had 2 penalties end of. Yes smalling should have been sent off but even he would have would u back us to score? Not a chance.

No drive, no passion. no clue in the final third, second to almost every ball - in a derby. FFS! This ain't the team I watched a few seasons ago. Can we just be honest and say today was little to do with the team picked, or the injuries? Let's be honest with ourselves and stop making pointless excuses. Things will change, and are going to change, but this is nothing like the team we had a couple of seasons ago. We were a joy to watch and have gone backwards.

It had EVERYTHING to do with the team picked.

Too right. Leicester: 19th in the league for possession, 20th in the league for pass completion. 5 points clear at the top. Possession means fuck all if you do nothing with it.

After a long old day and a couple of drinks I crashed out on the settee and have just woken up.First thing that hit me was I had a dream that we had lost to a shit rag side.....then I realised it wasn't a dream!

Annoyed, frustrated and depressed is how I feel looking back on the game.Firstly the bad points starting and stopping as usual with the manager. This charming man or whatever you want to call him is not up to the job end of! I don't care that we have won one title and two league cups in his tenure and scraped through to the quarter finals of the Champions league he is as good as clueless and out of his depth. He cannot pick a team to match the opposition or adapt his tactics if we have injuries he just trots out the same old tired mantra of ''We play this way'' which smacks of arrogance and stupidity when it clearly isn't working and as a result teams are almost relishing playing us.To have not won back to back games since October is fucking shameful!

As soon as I saw the side yesterday I knew we were in trouble as did everyone except the man who is paid a fortune and who's job it is to actually pick a team to win a football game. After twenty minutes we knew our fears were justified.A goal down and being overrun in midfield...again....and chasing the ball with Carrick and Mata strolling around spraying passes about like they were on holiday.Sterling's injury made him make the change what he should have started with but by then we were a goal down and we still had a liability on the field called Demichellis who's legs have well and truly gone.He should have made that change there and then too but that would have meant we had used two subs so early in the game when if he had started that way we would have been ok.All week he should have been working on the back four of Clichy,Sagna,Mangala and Zabaleta, drilling and organising them but of course we just got the car crash we witnessed yesterday. The man is a clueless buffoon and no amount of people telling me otherwise will change my opinion!

Joe Hart.He was the object of his own downfall yesterday and not for the first time against the rags he had a total brain freeze when he had time on the ball and he made the wrong decision. He dithered and dithered until our defenders were closed down so ok he would kick the ball long yes?No....he then chooses to pass it to our slowest defender who had no option but to pass it back for him to kick it long anyway! You couldn't make it up!Then he gets injured in the process. We have turned the clock back to the City sides of old this season,we are a tragic comedy and it is a shock to the system to witness.

In the second half I though we played quite well.We got stuck in,dominated possession and created a fair few chances but a total lack of composure by everyone, even Aguero meant they were all wasted and so we lost.Bony did ok when he came on and we looked a bigger threat to them but it was one of those days when we would never score.

Oliver is still a **** but maybe we got away with not conceding a penalty but it doesn't make him any less of a bottling ****.

The crowd.I understand it is a derby and a lot were drinking all day due to a 4pm kick off and I was as pissed off as anyone losing to that shower of shit, but some of the rabid foaming at the mouth obscenities directed at some of our players in the S/S yesterday was a disgrace. I just hope they didn't reach the pitch and it reinforces my opinion that your average football fan is a clueless moron, who uses football as a vehicle to scream his frustrations with life to the world,I just wish they would do it out of earshot of me.

It has been a dogshit of a season all around and the league cup sitting in the cupboard can't mask that. The whole place from top to bottom, fans and all seems tired jaded and stale and the end of the season can't come quick enough. Let us hope the new man and the people behind the scenes can breath new life into us next year but we might have to do so playing on a Thursday and a Sunday night!

That sums it up perfectly especially Joe Hart's brain freeze.

Goodness gracious you must have had something really special to calm you enough to be so articulate and correct after such a galling result against our most hated opposition.
