United post-match thread

Actually thought i wouldnt be to bothered about a defeat tonight especially with Pep playing our reserve team , but these bastards were there for the taking we didnt have any creativity apart from Garcia's clever prompting but no end product , the only thing that will justify Pep's complete surrender tonight will be victories against West Brom and Barca, nothing less

Not sure what you were watching tbh it was fucking aweful tipy tapy shit with zero creativity and penetration regardless of how many we rested we are light years behind Liverpool and Tottenham and Arsenal
Look at the league table. When we played our strongest team minus Aguero, we beat Utd comfortably. Spurs played kids at Anfield last night too.

There wasn't much in it tonight. Decent ref and we'd have won - penalty early doors not given. Their goal was dubious

I saw Spurs in the last 3 games and they looked pathetic as well. They did nothing of note yesterday and Pools second string could have beaten their second string 4-0 easily.

yes we were top, but we've got a new manager with radically different style.

To be top and 2nd in CL group is good going. I knew we'd struggle tonight as we were bound to play the 2nd team. There'll be more or less 11 changes for Saturday.

I'll follow-up with you next Tuesday and check if we're still top and 2nd in the CL group.

It wasn't surrender. It was a case of playing the strongest team we could without compromising team against WBA and Barcelona.

Be top on Saturday and beat Barca :) stop fucking moaning, yes it hurts like hell losing to them twats, but bigger fish to fry, go in work with your heads held high with that fact that the massive, haha, rag utd had to play a full strength team against a 9changed city 2nd string team, look at the positives, Garcia Maffeo were superb and baites well for the future, top of the league, in the champs league and have the best manager in the world

On here last night there were fans wanting a team of kids and squad members. Well you got what you want and how are feeling?

Here is what we have achieved:
1) We WERE holders
2) We have to listen to these twats talking the EFL as if it is the CL
3) 6 games without a win
4) confidence on the floor

Oh well at least Navas got a game

Fucking gutted

Dress it up as much as you want. Barcelona will beat us and they'll probably win the cup. Happy clapping

You may be right on both counts but you let yourself down mentioning 'happy clapping'. Pathetic.

I'm not taking about the past I'm taking about right here and now that klopp is better then pep. Yes pep has won more but I'd bet klopp will win more at Liverpool than pep will at city
Klopp has a year headstart. Tell me what he did of worth last season? Drag them to 7th? Isn't that where Rodgers left them?

I thought I'd be chewed up about losing tonight, but I'm not. I am chewed up about city not getting 1 fucking attempt on target the whole game, which was a cup game that we clearly didn't give a fuck about, but still couldn't be arsed to muster the arsyness to get a shot actually aimed at their goal. That is pissest of piss poor!!!
6 games without a win - Welcome to the English leagues Mr Guardiola!!!

Find it hard to believe that people think our second string outplayed their first XI. It was reasonably even for 45mns, I wouldn't say we were ever truly 'on top' - then after Vince went off our arse went, and after the goal we gave up. THAT is the disappointment - not the result.
We were on top in first half an hour. They couldn't get in the game. Was very close game. Much closer than I expected. I thought they'd win comfortably

I'm not trying to get anything out of it.

We were top of the league at this point last season too?

Numerous youngsters got cup games last season too?

We progressed in the champions league last season too?

Why was it a mess? I thought it was all pellegrini's fault? didn't we spend 150mil this summer to correct the squad?

Have we improved since last season then?

I've seen improvements over the 16 games we've played, definitely. It was a mess and it still isn't great. We've had years of poor purchases and not improving weak areas. Peps a brilliant manager, but he needs time and our support to build a great side here. It seems some fannies are starting to question him already.
