If my memory serves me correctly, during fergusons entire 26 year job at utd, He has only seen City awarded 2 penalties. Keith Curle at o/t and Darius Vasells miss CoMs. An astonishing statistic really. You will not hear any media pundit would remind him of this, of course. He has no cause for concern as far as a City penalty goes, history proves it.

It's because it's wrong. What about the penalty we got in the CC semi?

I see your point though
Yes indeed, 3 pens in 26 years. I wonder how many utd have had in the same period.
United have scored 4 penalties in Manchester Derbies since Fergie became manager in November 1986 (3 of those came in a 5 year period between 1996 - 2001).

one on twitter saying he hopes yaya " does a foe" in front of the away end, others saying kick city fans in the head and kill them.

what happened to our society? surely the answer is stopping certain types from breeding ??

twitter can be good but also very bad.

anyway i thought they hated leeds and liverpool?
Arseholes on Twitter - who da thunk it.

Never let those fuckwits ever try the moral high ground;

"Jackie Blanchflower, who like most of the players, lived in a house owned by the club, had to vacate it. "It was made pretty clear we had to leave," says Jean, his wife. "United were very cold, very harsh, after the crash." By January 1959, Blanchflower was on the dole."

Tbh the only one I can recall off the top of my head was the one saved from Rooney in Utd's 3-2 cup win when he scored the rebound.

Maybe someone with a better memory than me can list any others that there have been but, if there haven't been the penalty count would be 5-3 over a 26 year period.......

"City fan uses Utd's handling of a tragedy as stick to beat them with in run up to Derby match shocker....."

Doubt there are many people left who aren't now aware that Utd evicted survivors, and families of the deceased, from club houses soon after the event. Extremely distasteful, particularly when judged against modern day values but it has to be remembered football, and life in general, was very different back then - less than 13 years after the end of WWII.

I actually find the lack of any sort of testimonial or benefit matches for decades after the tragedy more reprehensible as, austere times or not, that's something that could, and should, have been quite easily arranged.

Pretty sure David Elleray gave two (one of which was scored) in the 2001 Old Trafford Derby when Roy Keane criminally assaulted Alfie Haaland.

You could be right. Sheringham definitely scored a pen for us but my memory of the rest of the game has been overshadowed by Keane's horrific "challenge".
