Re: Song for Swamp

How about "This is how it feels to be City, This is how it feels to be small !" They used to love singing that to us and that would really wind them up if we took the piss out of ourselves by singing it. Piss them right off !
I agree. Maybe throw a joke in there about them signing Phil Jones, and us getting Aguero. I'll try to finish it, then get it going against Chelsea.

I think we're onto a winner here Trig.

Some local rag was on Talkshite earlier saying he can't watch them any more and how it's all gone to shit under Moyes. FFS there are plenty of us on BM who went week in week out home and away when we were shit but we still kept going. Now this rag's essentially jacking them in because they're 7th. It's not so many years ago that many of us would have crawled over broken glass to see City 7th in the PL. They really have no fucking clue what being a supporter is.

Another more intelligent rag said that Mata was the cherry on the cake but the only problem is that the rags haven't yet got the cake.

this word highlighted above should instead read 'results challenged'

- I've never gone along with using that word in red to describe our club or team, although it can easily be applied to describing ManUre both now and at any other point in proceedings.

carry on...
I hated going down season after season, it did hurt, however my support never wavered, i`m a Mancunian and Manchester and City run through my veins, I enjoyed visiting Port Vale Brighton Grimsby West Ham (relegated) and countless others and nothing absolutely nothing will take that connection away..... MANCHESTER and CITY ...............peas in a pod, bread and butter,

How was that rag goal not offside? I know Welshite doesn't touch it, but the Stoke player has to make a last ditch lunge to stop it going to him, which falls to Mata for him to square it for the goal. The new offside rule really is moronic, is the defender supposed to just leave it to Welbeck and hope he's offside?
Couldn't see much wrong with it, to be honest.
Welbeck was offside, and the defender ends up giving United a huge advantage in his attempts to stop it getting to him. For me, as a defender, that annoys the hell out of me. You can't not make the lunge and just hope Welbeck is offside, but by making the lunge you give them a huge advantage, so Welbeck is affecting play from his offside position.

I just don't like the new offside rule. For me, if the ball is played to you and you're offside, then it's offside, regardless of whether the ball makes it to you or not, as the defender is forced to defend you (so you are active). (if that makes sense?)

Totally agree, should of been called offside, even under the new rules... The ball is played towards Welbeck (10 yards offside), and the defender (Adam I think) is really stretching to stop the ball going thru to Welbeck and only manages to gift it straight back to a united player. How is Welbeck not effecting play in this instance?? He clearly is....
