"Sir Alex will be chairman of the forum of elite coaches that meet every year. He will also be a member of the technical study group of the Champions League and the European Championship," explains Uefa president Michel Platini.

Michael Owen seems to think there will be a further surprise for rags beyond the Mata transfer, though I doubt it's another player coming in, as of course United nor certainly it's fans would ever entertain buying the league.

He's already working out a scheme to arrange for the team finishing 6th 7th (or wherever United finish) to qualify for CL next year.... You mark my words ... I TELL YER ITS WHAT HES DOING!!

I remember a rumour that the reason the GPC went last season was that he was told he only had £30m to spend in the window so he walked.
