United will be well up for the league cup final against City. They will believe they have a chance .

When you say "they" do you mean the board, the manager, the players or the supporters?

I'm not sure about any of those tbh
They're not in it yet ! (nor are we - though I think we have a toe there :o) )

Firstly, hold the "your a rag" shite comments, but everyone seems to think ow if we get united in the final we'll smash them... at the end of the day its another game against united, they'll be bang up for it so don't imagine it would be the walk over some of you lads recon..

Although i would of course fancy ourselves, and it would be lovely to beat them for the second time this year before we've even gone to the swamp!

yes of course your correct wigan springs to mind it was a matter of turning up, but my post reflects on mufc not us or me as an individual, my guess is they dont want it or have the stomach for it

Reading some of the posts from lads who work/know rags and the comments they have made, such as fielding weakened squads just so they don't have to face us, well its hillarious, and incredibly flattering too! - The tide is turning... some may even say the tide has turned..

The tide turned when we beat them in the semi at Wembley. Last season was a freak storm.

I'm guessing here, but there's a real chance United will have Rooney and RVP back for the final, if United beat Sunderland. With those two playing, they can beat almost any team.

To write them off with a full team is madness.

As for new players. It's all good and well signing them, if United have the money, but it will take time for them to adapt to the a Premier League. Not to mention having a Manager who can make the most of those new players.

And don't forget, the teams finishing abovd United will strengthen as well.

the way things are mate there is no guarantee they will be at the swamp

Last season they crowned us the worst Champions ever.

We had 14 more points at this stage of last season compared to what they have now.

Tick tock

In a one off game anything can happen. We used to occasionally beat them when we were shit :)

Can't see it happening in a final though but if Webb decides to re-sign for them you never now.

Absolutely. I take you point and agree. And of course they will also be stronger with the front men back. But my point was really about the mindset of their fans now, going into Wednesday night - not the mindset of us lot ;-)
