Its the normal smoke and mirrors trick from the tossers. They know the keeper wont be able to resist Real, so are preparing and fluffing the season ticket holders for next year.

'We are bringing in Bale at any cost' they shout, whilst hiding the fact the deal may have already been done for the keeper.

Then, next season, the keeper has gone, but Bale strangely doesn't appear - like many many before him - TOSSERS!

Rumour has it they've already wrapped up Clyne for £21m.

I think Di Maria will be off to PSG once they offload Lavezzi, and it'll probably be around the £50m mark too as age is still on his side and the length of his current contract will dictate as such.

Then you've got De Gea who, barring a miracle, will be playing at the Bernabeu next season, and I think Bale may be involved in that deal.

Whether they stick with Valdes, which is a risk, or look for another keeper I'm not sure. Bale will be an improvement on Di Maria, simply because he's used to the PL and much younger. There's no doubt they need central reinforcements though, both defensively and in midfield.

I can see United letting these go: -

De Gea (£40m)
Mata (£20m)
Di Maria (£50m)
Van Persie (£10m)
Rafael (£10m)

If that happend, and they bring in Bale for (something like) De Gea + £20m, plus Clyne for £21m, then they've still got plenty to spare. They'll spend big, again, this summer - of that I'm absolutely convinced. Top 4 is absolutely essential, though.

You having a Giraffe? They paid close to £100 mil for Bale, now way they'll let him go at £60 (from your evaluation of De Gea being worth 40mil, which I think is a tad high).

IF they were to land Bale (and that's a big IF) then they'd need to give them De Gea and something along the lines of 60-65mil. There's no way that they'd take a loss on him (see Di Maria who they managed to get 65mil was it?).

I'd agree PSG will probs pay 50mil for Di Maria as there fucking idiots.

As someone said before though, it's the usual rags PR machine in full effect. De Gea's girlfriend has already made her mind up that there back off to Spain. De Gea's got a chance to play for one of the best clubs in Spain and he'll take it.

They'll spend another 200mil + and it'll yet again be ignored as trying to "buy the league" as it's only us that can do that.

This is Real Madrid we're talking about, and logic is pretty much out of the window where their transfer policy is concerned.

I'd be surprised if De Gea went for less than £40m. He's one of the best in the world right now, probably behind Neuer, and he's young. Consider Buffon went for around £30m a while back and it's no so far fetched. Plus, like I said, this is Real Madrid we're talking about.

Onto Bale, and it's clear to me he's offskies. Madrid will know that they'll never get anything remotely close to the £85m or so they paid for him, thanks to FFP, or unless Woodward loses his marbles, and to let him go it'll be reduced some what. Then, as they'll no doubt want a shiny new toy next season, on top of the carrot at United that is De Gea, and it doesn't sound all that implausible. I mean, yeah, it could be £40m + De Gea, but I'm not too sure it will be.

Just been reading their "will city disappear" thread. Amazing that a large number of them still think we will go back into relative obscurity.

What is it with United players and paying for it?

Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira 'offered student £10,000 for threesome with him and Paddy McNair'

Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira offered a student £10,000 for a threesome with him and Old Trafford team-mate Paddy McNair, it was reported on Thursday.

The Belgian-born Brazilian, who made his Barclays Premier League debut on Sunday against Tottenham, allegedly offered 19-year-old Kelly McKinney cash to spend the night with him and McNair after she met the United squad at their Christmas party.

Pereira is also said to have invited Kelly to his home for sex days before his Premier League debut, mentioning that he was with two other members of the first-team squad.

McNair is not suggested to have been involved in or aware of the sending of Pereira's messages.

Kelly told The Sun: 'I nearly fell off my chair when he offered me £10,000 for a threesome. What kind of low-life does that? I'm not that kind of person at all and found it very, very insulting.

'He's clearly desperate and struggling to find anyone that he doesn't have to pay for a sex.'

Kelly claims that Pereira tracked her down on Twitter after the team's Christmas party at the Neighbourhood bar in Manchester where she was invited to the VIP area to drink with the other players.

In a series of WhatsApp messages, the midfielder allegedly asked if she wanted to meet with him and McNair before she responded questioning what he meant.

Pereira is said to have replied: 'Threesome. Will take care of u. U want? How much. Tell me. We were ready to pay 5each.'

It remains to be seen whether Louis van Gaal will punish Pereira for his behaviour, with the starlet having embarrassed his manager in a week when he has been full of praise for the 19-year-old's class on the field.

'When you are 19 and already in the squad of Manchester United, then you must have a big talent otherwise you would not be in there,' Van Gaal said. 'I am very happy that I could give him his Premier League debut.'

Pereira's agent Leo Scheinkman said: 'He is young and single and can have sex with whoever he wants. What does he have to apologise for?'

Pereira is yet to sign a new contract at Old Trafford, with his current deal expiring in the summer and top clubs from around Europe ready to swoop.

Juventus, who took former United youngster Paul Pogba on a free transfer from United in 2012, are said to be interested with French champions Paris Saint-Germain also keen.

Awaits; "Pics?"

he will have 1 year left on his contract in the summer, he and Real hold all the cards

United set to sign Otamendi for around £36m according to Valencia media. :(

He is an incredible defender, better than the fraud Hummels who United were after. Apparently City scouted both he and Mangala at Porto but chose Mangala. Otamendi is older (but not old) but certainly much better this season.
