Mickael Silvestre attacks City:

Silvestre said: “They just buy trophies. United are all about growing players.

“City buy multiple stars and shut the door to the youth system.

“United have more courage. They are a club with a family spirit.

“Those who come through the ranks absorb the mentality, the history of the club so they show the heritage in their performances.”

United and City will compete in the International Champions Cup in the United States over the next two weeks.

The club is growing in popularity across the globe, but Silvestre thinks they are still some way behind United.

The former defender believes football fans across the globe have been put off supporting City because of their hefty spending.

“The way they do their business, it doesn't get people to support them,” he claimed.

“They might win trophies here and there but they won't gain support. I have been travelling a lot for United in the last six months.

“I have been to Asia, and the support there is unbelievable and honestly City is nowhere near that.”

I can't believe these so called reporters let them sit there and spout this utter drivel without challenging it.Who threw millions at trying to win the title for the first time in 28 years,on Moses,Robson etcetera etcetra?Who smashed all records when they bought camel gob spending 30 million plus how many years ago??Wasn't the team we beat 3-0 last season more expensive than the one we had on the field?

No wonder everyone hates them!

Their problems are getting bigger and bigger. They are playing catch-up on us Chelsea and Arsenal and possibly Liverpool. Once they try and get past that and get into the Champs League, They'll see Real, Barca, and Bayern have moved tables to the one they sat at. PSG will blow them out the water for anyone decent.

Their only hope is Real cannot balance the books and decide that Tranny can go. TBH I think the wanker will be back in our league by 2017. Real will want another Champs League before then.

I see that the good old United myth is out in full force. Any time a United fan tries to spout this shit as the gospel just ask them the following questions:

Considering you are the keenest of advocates of managerial stability how long did you give Davey Moyes?

Considering you are the keenest of advocates of having a British manager, what nationality is Louis Van Gaal?

Considering you like to do things the 'right way' which team has spent over £130 million in the last year, more than any other club?

Considering you like to do things the 'right way' how many of the academy grown players that are in the first team squad are going to get a look in with the new signings? Is Cleverly still going to be the maestro in midfield? is Welbeck going to dislodge Mata? although at least you will have Evans to take the burden off Vidic and Camel Chops departures.

Considering you believe that spending money is wrong, which starting 11 in the last Manchester Derby cost more?

Considering you believe that Rekik, Guidetti and Lopes are not 'properly graduates of our academy' as we signed them at a young age, can you explain how Jizzjazz and Pogba are classed are members of your academy?

Considering how you believe that an owners investment is wrong, what are your views on the Gibson and Edwards family?

Considering you 'hate Scousers' how does it feel to cheer one every week?

Considering your views on our players being mercenaries, what are your views on Rooney's transfer requests and subsequent pay rises?

Considering you like to talk about our 'lack of class', how does it feel knowing the way your club treated the families of those who died in the Munich air crash?

Which team currently holds the PL transfer record for a keeper?

Which team currently holds the PL transfer record for a midfielder?

Which team currently holds the PL transfer record for a defender?

Which team currently holds the PL transfer record for a teenager?

Answers on a postcard.
