This commentator on sky is annoyingly sucking off the rags.

"This match is what America wanted to see"

Haha, the stadium is half empty.

For sure ! They've been talking it up right from the start and largely ignoring the thousands of empty seats.

Haha, love this. 51,000 for a fixture arranged 48 hours beforehand - absolutely shocking that.

Meanwhile, England v Ecuador in the same stadium, and with six months of ticket sales, gets 21,000.

Awkward.

You do realise that three of the first choice back four from that team have left and been replaced by an overrated teenager and Smalling, Evans and Jones?
I think van Gaal will get them back in the top four simply because van Gaal is a much better manager than Moyes but I don't think that defence is good enough to win the league. A full-strength City side, I would expect to tear that defence apart. I'd also expect the bigger threat to be Chelsea but I'm not that convinced about them either. Although, without exception, Mourinho's second season at a club is his best so it would be foolish to write them off, I'm feeling about as confident as I can going into this season.

if we finish above chelsea we'll retain the title.
If United can hang onto our coattails they'll get European football.

According to my rag work colleagues, the fella doing the commentating on sky is an ex MUTV employee, and is a full blown rag from warrington

No wonder his commentary on the other games was so impartial....

Oh and incase you missed it, check this out for a quote from the guardian...

“Liverpool are trying to buy their way to success, throwing £47m Southampton’s way for all their players beginning with L: Lallana, Lovren and Lambert. They also spent around another £40m for Can, World Cup surprise package Origi and Markovic. Of course, most of this was paid for by getting rid of pariah liability striker Luis Suarez for £75m.
United have also spent big, buying Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw for a combined £56m, but haven’t made much back. They also have a new manager in Louis van Gaal, who should make this season interesting regardless of how successful they are. If they fail, they’ll fail gloriously.”

So 109,000 went to see Real Madrid then.

We were discussing last night's match where;

1. They were playing Liverpool, not Real Madrid; and
2. There were thousands of empty seats despite the commentator continually saying that this was 'the match that America wanted to see'

Madrids support in America is phenomenal

Hence his reply of 109,000 must have gone to see Real Madrid in previous game ;-)

If he doesn't buy 2 centre halves another left back and at least 1 central midfielder they'll be lucky to finish top 7.

They panic under pressure at the back and most premier league sides now play a high line and will push on at them, causing them to turn over the ball on a constant basis. They'll end up resorting to long diagonal balls and hoping their wing backs can get in behind teams. Problem with that is most opposition full backs will be getting in behind theirs more often than not.

They'll end up with 5 at the back and another 3 sat in front while the rapist or granny shagger stand around waiting for something that will never arrive.

I know it may seem i'm seeing all this through blue tinted glasses but they are fucking shite.

What happens when one of the 3 stooges gets injured or suspended, same for Shaw, plus there's no steel in the centre of midfield either, they'll be too reliant on the the rapist and it'll take it's toll.

Bring it on because i can't fucking wait.

Only got ourselves to blame; concentrating on the League at the expense of the Intergalactic Cup!
The press meltdown is going to be like nothing we've ever seen this season. Forget the Busby Babes, it's now Turtle's Tots!
LOL!

I don't think they will buy another left back after spending £27m on one already.

They definitely need 2 central defenders and a central midfielder. Possibly a more attack minded winger too. Young & Valencia can cover the wing back spots when they do play 3-5-2 (they wont always play that formation btw) but going forwards they're not the greatest.
