Played left back for Argentina in the World Cup, but for his club he plays centre back. So I imagine he'll play as their left-sided centre back.

He played wing back for Argentina in the WC, didn't think he was particularly impressive tbh.

ive read southamptons 20 mil pound bid was rejected but he now has apparently put in a transfer request.

i think he is a decent cb but an atrocious LB (at least in an attacking sense).

edit: apparently has a 30 mil pound release clause. lets hope sporting dont settle for less. another grossly overpaid potential signing

Where is The Republik of Mancunia supposed to be?

Walking around town today and I see this advertising campaign splashed across stores such as JD Sports, alongside City displays saying: Rising.

Does this imply that the rags are in Manchester? even though they are based in another borough?

The lad played LB for Argentina in World Cup. I'm hearing 16m tho and Southampton had a 13m rejected.

He also played centre back for Lisbon last season

You can see why United want him for their back three as a left central defender, with him being versatile as a center back and left back he fits the left side of a back three perfectly.

I liked the look of him in the World Cup, he had good moments and bad moments but overall he was decent.

He is still only 24 so he will only get better.

First they were linked with Mangala, then Hummels, now they are after the same players as Southampton. The United transfer policy - brief the media, keep the fans fooled then by the time reality hits they've convinced themselves that the squad is good enough and the manager is a genius
