Has any manager in history been so welcomed on arrival to the premiership by the press?
Roberto Mancini?

Yeah remember his first press conference?

Treated like royalty he was. I think you can hear someone on here refer to him as King Bob

In fairness Mancini had replaced a previously up and coming British manager, who in spite of being backed with lots of money, was sacked sooner than anyone was expecting a few months before.....

Lest we forget...
And you know what? They still think & feel exactly the same about our club.
They just have to stifle and choke on their words a bit more these days.

LOL just loving this. Vincent Kompany was just asked by Geoff Shreeves about his feeling towards Wayne Rooney's captaincy and he said and I quote "I couldn't care less." Just loving it how irrelevant they are and sticking up the United media's bottom. Just love Vincent, what a captain.

It's just a shame he didn't mention about rooney sleeping with elderly prositutes :(

This really doesn't get mentioned enough. On here, or more generally.

Just won the first game of the season by the sounds of it:

Funnily enough not a single mention of the blatant dive from Rooney and their joke of a penalty. Only mentioned as 'Rooney was lively despite missing a penalty'.

Just for once you'd love one of ours to say "Rooney? Which one's he again? Is he the one who sleeps with his brother's wife or the one that goes with prostitutes?"

I think the last person to describe him as 'lively' was a septuagenarian called Ivy who works in a massage parlour in Bootle.

So a deflection, a goalie who had a rush of blood and a shakey defence especially Jones, funny that, I read an article this morning where it was a Fletcher screamer, great control and finish by [ex] mophead and m-o-m Jones !
