So presumably he is not officially registered with the Premier League, it will not get sorted out by the Monday deadline ................................. oh fuck me am I laughing soooo loud.
Am I wrong ? please tell me I am right that he cannot play for the rag shite until January.

Not a chance, my friend. The FA will have a special subcommittee in situ by noon on Tuesday to accommodate appeals and oversee the smooth transition of special cases.

In the Sunday Times today about Rojo. Made me smile :)

"Though United announced Rojo’s transfer 11 days ago, the Argentina defender remains unavailable for selection because Premier League rules state that he cannot be registered to play until the 75% of his economic rights owned by an investment fund at Sporting Lisbon has been bought out. Rojo’s case is complicated by an ugly legal dispute between Sporting and the player’s third-party owner, Doyen Sports, which intends to open a case against the Lisbon club at the Court of Arbitration for Sport this week. The group is challenging Sporting’s actions in terminating Rojo’s economic rights contract with Doyen “with just cause” a few days before selling the player to United. Instead of distributing 75% of the transfer fee to the fund, Sporting aim to retain most of the revenue for their use. Because the case is complicated by alleged breaches of contract by Doyen there is no timescale for its resolution, potentially leaving Rojo in limbo between the clubs and Van Gaal without an important defensive reinforcement.

The Premier League said: “[Our] rules prohibit third-party ownership as we believe that it threatens the integrity of competitions, reduces the flow of transfer revenue contained within the game and has the potential to exert external influences on players’ transfer decisions.”

January might be optimistic, this could drag on for a lot longer.

From what I've read the third party ownership issue won't prevent the transfer being completed, because it's a dispute between two parties who don't have any interest in actually preventing it.

I can't see this not going through.

Ah but the FA won't allow third party, so until Doyen relinquish all rights to the player the FA can't register him by their own rules, hence the delay with Fernando and Mangala. Doyen are unlikely to let the transfer go through as it makes it more difficult for them to get their money from Sporting. While thr scum can't register himtthere's a chance they could go after Sporting, so it's in Doyen's interests to prevent it from going through.

Yep. Not wanting to back the Rags up, but they seem to have paid the transfer fee, and now Sporting are in a dispute with some third party lot about how that transfer fee is distributed. Seems pretty shite if the transfer is held up because of this. However, it would be funny!

Got a kicking on Sunday supplement about the money spent the 3 at the back and buying Rojo without sorting out the 3rd party ownership!!

It would be hilarious. But it's in no one's interest to prevent it, so it will go through almost certainly.

If he was 100% owned by Sporting when United bought him you'd think that United are faultless alright. But then why would the PL have any issue. There must not be black and white and if so United's lawyers and negotiators should have caught ift beforehand or moved on. It would seem like they just took Sporting's word instead of having everyone at the table for clarity before a penny was spent.

Long live their woes. ;-)

The members of Manchester United's 'Class of 92' have denied paying former United striker Danny Webber £800 a week at Salford City.(Mail on Sunday) (external)

Are the cunts breaking any rules if so?

You are wrong. He has been registered with the premier league. If and when the work permit is sorted he can play.
