In the Sunday Times today about Rojo. Made me smile :)

"Though United announced Rojo’s transfer 11 days ago, the Argentina defender remains unavailable for selection because Premier League rules state that he cannot be registered to play until the 75% of his economic rights owned by an investment fund at Sporting Lisbon has been bought out. Rojo’s case is complicated by an ugly legal dispute between Sporting and the player’s third-party owner, Doyen Sports, which intends to open a case against the Lisbon club at the Court of Arbitration for Sport this week. The group is challenging Sporting’s actions in terminating Rojo’s economic rights contract with Doyen “with just cause” a few days before selling the player to United. Instead of distributing 75% of the transfer fee to the fund, Sporting aim to retain most of the revenue for their use. Because the case is complicated by alleged breaches of contract by Doyen there is no timescale for its resolution, potentially leaving Rojo in limbo between the clubs and Van Gaal without an important defensive reinforcement.

The Premier League said: “[Our] rules prohibit third-party ownership as we believe that it threatens the integrity of competitions, reduces the flow of transfer revenue contained within the game and has the potential to exert external influences on players’ transfer decisions.”

So it seems Doyen aren't prepared to give the rags their last Rojo!

So presumably he is not officially registered with the Premier League, it will not get sorted out by the Monday deadline ................................. oh fuck me am I laughing soooo loud.
Am I wrong ? please tell me I am right that he cannot play for the rag shite until January.

You are wrong. He has been registered with the premier league. If and when the work permit is sorted he can play.

Not according to Euro Sports news he's not.........
"Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal's defensive woes could continue this weekend after it was revealed Marcos Rojo has not yet been registered by the Premier League.
The Argentine defender completed a £16m move from Sporting Lisbon to United last week but was unable to play against Sunderland on Sunday because his documentation was not processed on time.
Now the 24-year-old could miss yet another Premier League match after complications with his third party ownership, reports the Daily Mail.
The delay has reportedly been caused after sports management company Doyen Sports claimed it was owed 75% of Rojo's transfer fee.

Hang on here just one cotton-picking-minute. If he's been brought into the country for gainful employment as a footballer then surely he needs a work permit. By extension he can only be registered with the FA with said work permit. If he has not received his work permit by tomorrow how can he possibly gain registration with the FA? Even if the FA say "yeah, no problem just let us know once UPS get it over to you" If he's not registered by deadline day tomorrow then they (the FA) can't backdate his registration.

expecting the rules to change for the scum

Did anyone hear the idiot rag on 606 last night, who claimed we bought the title?

Savage told him that the rags' squad is more expensive than ours. "I think your figures are wrong," said the rag, so Robbie found the totals and read them out to him, to which he obviously had no answer.

Then, defending the rags' performance yesterday, he said, "Burnley had the most points in the Championship last season", and of course, both Sav and Fletch shot him down in flames, "No, Leicester won the Championship".

Their stupidity doesn't decrease, despite the results.

Work permits can be sorted after the deadline, you don't really think we had a permit sorted for Robinho when we only bid for him with a few minutes of the window left?
