How do I start a new thread, because what I'm about to say deserves a thread of it's own, basically I believe Sir Alex Ferguson should be stripped of his knighthood.

Let me explain, I just read a small piece in my paper - where Nicky Butt claims SaF made him pull out of England friendlies. There was no attempt to say injury was to blame, he was just told: "You have an England friendly coming up, and you're not going". Now I'm not saying England would have won something between '92 and '04 (when Butt was a player), but it would surely have helped the manager build a team, without this type of sh1t going on behind the scenes. Sir Bobby Charlton I get, Sir Geoff Hurst ditto, but why the f*ck is there a SIR Alex Ferguson???

Actually, a more pertinent question would be, why wasn't there a Sir Brian Clough, a Sir Bill Shankley, a Sir Bob Paisley, a Sir Tony Barton or a Sir Jock Stein?

Busby and GPC won the European Cup / Champions' League, and the establishment couldn't give them a knighthood fast enough, and yet no other British manager has been afforded this honour.

Why?

Get your point but Shankly didn't win the European Cup....

Ah.

Fair enough.

I'm pretty sure (but not 100% I hasten to add) that as a staunch socialist, GPC made "considerable contributions" to the Labour Party. Hence he was put forward for his Knighthood by Blair. In other words.....he bought it ........allegedly.

P.S. If Scotland vote 'Yes' next week, can we deport him?

P.P.S. I actually came online to put this on Rag Cafe, but they have banned me, yet again: serious sense of humour issues over there.

I saw the interview with Butt and ryan Family Man giggs. What he actually said was the FA and the others said who they wanted but F'Scum told them who they were having, he based it on a rotation system. You didn't go last time so you are going now.

The man is a tw*t of the highest order, the War Criminal blair knighted the f*cker quicker than Ashley young goes down in the penalty box. One pseudo Socialist looking after another. Bent bastards.

And yet, if anyone deserves a Knighthood for services to football it is surely David Moyes. Charlton yes, Busby yes, GPC yes, Beckham soon, no doubt but David Moyes ? Not a sniff !!

I heard from a very reliable journalist years ago that Neil Webb was dropped and sold when he contacted England to tell them he was fit, after being withdrawn from the squad by ferguson.

Make seven more posts and the world's your oyster.

Or, at least, Bluemoon is!

Thank you Vienna_70, I guess I should have read the rules and regulations! I understand now - I have to make a number of 'replies' (sensible ones?!) before I get the power I crave!!!

Thanks also to loads of people who have responded to my anti-Saf rant of earlier, especially the member who pointed out his contributions to the Labour party will have certainly helped. I had forgot about that.

I'm guessing that your journalist friend never actually saw Neil Webb play for United. If he had, he'd know that the real story is how in fuck's name Webb was even in the England squad.

The test for these clowns will be when they play the big boys.
I am personally expecting them to destroy Arrys boys this weekend quite comfortably.
If they don't get top 4 I will seriously piss my sides.
Any idea if our revenue will ever surpass these c**ts?
A ready made wind up for this game.
'Im predicting an upset here and that united will win'.
You'll catch a few with that.
you read my post on page 328 then ;)
I apologise mate. You know when you know you've seen something and can't think the fuck where?

Can't post the link from my tablet, but read last night a United fan died after being assaulted by a couple of City fans in town following a row over football. Nobody been caught yet according to the report, (which was in last nights MEN). A father of 4. Absolutely fucking shit, that.
RIP that man, and let's hope the shit heads who ran off after decking him get caught.
That. Over football. *shakes head*

tayally agree.

whoever has done this is a disgrace.
whoever you are stay away from city. we dont want you.

i think its pretty obvious that nobody could expect the guy to die but football isn't even worth a single punch, fight or whatever.

Perhaps he paid for it from some of the taxes he avoided paying by having part of his salary paid to him in the name of a company (allegedly). A true Socialist.
