They're not fans, they're.....

"To be honest I never cared much for Man Utd fans.
For the most part, they are clueless glory hunters trying to add a sense of accomplishment to their own pointless lives by jumping on the bandwagon of a successful sports club, in many cases on the other side of the world."

According to the dog botherer

;-)

I think that's a fake quote because it's been doing the rounds for a while now...i was fan of the guy growing up and I have his shirt. He is entitled to his own opinion but it would be disappointing if it was true.

It is true, what's up for debate is if he said it

Haha I don't think it's true..and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he did say something to that tune..I hope not though

It is true or are all your "649 million fans" from Manchester?

I hear what your saying but I'm not here to talk about that..isn't there a separate thread for FFP? Maybe you can post that there.. I thought this thread was about the footballing side of things the team ,players , performances etc

No worries. De Gea and Tia Maria outstanding the other day.

They will need to be though as your midfield and defence are an utter joke. You have had your so called easy start and it's going to be interesting when you have to play the better sides as I can honestly see you getting fucking battered.

This is not blue goggles btw, it's a genuine and honest assessment and given the money spent, if I was a rag (thank fuck I'm not) I'd be pissed off and shitting bricks. ;-)

Midfield is alright ..defence not so much and the injuries aren't helping either ..look I'm not saying we're going to be world beaters yet but what I can say is that we have improved from the moyes era..the team is exciting to watch again.

Against better sides we might get beat but we won't roll over like we did last year. We will get at least a draw with Chelsea at home..city away? Well you guys have had the edge in the derbies for a while now since before the money and the c**t Aguero saves his best goals for us.

I hope he saves his three best goals of the season all for you, and that they come in the first half so yer'll all be expecting another 6-1 and yer might have pissed off and left the rest of us to watch the match in peace. Besides, the Ginger Pig will give yer the lowdown as to how yer've been diddled out of it, and Neville will reinforce how yer've been shafted by a geriatric team of mercenaries!

Obviously not but the part about glory hunters is not entirely true..I can't put myself amongst them.

And look glory hunters come with the territory..when your club is winning and is successful people want in on it ..I live in Aruba and had never seen a city shirt until maybe around 2012/2013 ..so you see how influential on field success can be.

Fair opinion(city forum)but until the game has been played the result is not final yet so there's no point to it

Not a glory supporter but you chose to support your team when they were in the midst of their period of greatest success and the best team in England and one of the best in Europe.

Seems legit.

Where do you think you will finish this season, Bloodred? I personally have you in fifth - a few points behind Liverpool.

The timing was good I'll admit but it was cantona who led me to united.

So all those City shirts you are now seeing in Aruba, what if they said Aguero scoring against QPR led them to City, they wouldnt be glory fans??

I'd say you were the definition of a glory hunting bandwagon jumper, but i guess we have different assessments of the situation.

Honestly I think top 4 maybe 3 is realistic ...but I can only be sure after the games against Chelsea and city ..I don't know how this current squad plays in the big games yet.
