I was having a conversation about City & football generally when another guy (presumably a rag) butted in uninvited and said "Just wait till war breaks out in the Middle East - you'll be ruined".
This was so ludicrously deluded on so many levels that I simply retorted "If that's the only hope you lot are clinging on to, then I feel sorry for you."

If war breaks out in the Middle East the price of oil will skyrocket the fucking thick ****. There's too much oil concentrated in too small an area for the UAE to receive anything other than absolute military shelter from the members of the G9 against such a conflict. The price of failing to do that could be global financial collapse and City and united's respective form would be the least of anyone's worries.

Shows how much they're hurting, though. Wishing for an end to civilisation, just so they can be top dog again. Sad cunts.
