A first choice of Matay, Schweni, Carricky, Schniderley, Depay
With Jigsaw, Di Mariay, Fellym Herrt, Youngy as back up is a cracking midfield.
Still feel they need at least a centre back and perhaps a goalkeeper if the donut theif leaves.

Getting all giddy texts off rags all day about signing BS, after about 5 hours I said you all sound like MLS fans buzzing over a name player past his best coming to end his career with you, went down a storm, use it

This deal looks more driven by marketing potential than footballing sense. IMO, he's just a big name now who'll attract the crowd and fans. His recent injury record is a concern.

He will take our midfield to the next level. Apart from a big injury at the start of the season which made him miss 18 games, his injury record was like any other player. No signing will be able to top Bastian this summer. He's one of our best players if not the best player right now.
Just some stupid quotes I had to find considering they have signed a player past his best and surplus to requirements.....30 years old and chooses his retirement at the swamp and it is a major coup for them

Darmian is a very good player and was the best full back in Serie A so I don't how you can say that is a bad signing when it clearly improves them.
Schweinstieger has won everything and was the best midfielder on the planet 2 years ago and can still play at a world class level. He didn't even have a rest last summer with the World Cup etc. He is better than all their current midfielders and a massive improvement.

You just picked a bunch of random players over the age of 30 to try to fit your agenda. Young, Valencia, Valdes and even Carrick next season will be squad players.One of the latest jibes from rags is that City have an ageing side which is ironic in the extreme. At the start of the season Schweinsteiger will be 31, Carrick 34, Valdes 33, Young 30, Valencia 30 and Rooney will only be a couple of months off 30.
Depay in 21, Herrera is 25, Smalling is 25, Shaw is 20, De Gea is 24, Mata is 27, Di Maria is 27, Darmian is 25, Januzaj is 20.
ManU have won one of the youngest teams in the league as it stands.
If we add De Bruyne, Sterling and Pogba it would help us in that regard as well.

That's just a personal opinion that he was the best midfielder on the planet, but whatever your opinion he certainly isn't right now. I see the rags as a conglomeration of misfits brought in by a clueless halfwitted clown who has stolen a living.
