I'd rather he went now. Whatever we think of them, he was their best player last season and they would have struggled for a top 4 spot without him. A lot can happen in 12 months and I'd rather it happened to De Gea in Madrid than Manchester.

I'd prefer they keep him, lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

For the £20m they will get from Madrid they could buy someone like Lloris and still have some change left over.

Personally I'd prefer he went now. Losing him just might see the Spuds sneaking 4th above them.

The way they're wasting money £20m won't make much difference.
