I have it on good authority that Bale was in tears when he discovered that the 'big club' he was signing for was Real and not the Rags......Stretford would be his dream move, with a house in Longsight, just off Plymouth Grove. This move is on......

This is the team that mourinho described as playing football with no goals on the pitch at all. They can stock pile as many midfielders as they like, they don't have any strikers. Can see Cavani going there if they get rid of di Maria and him not doing much.

It's not just you the mind boggles how deluded this bunch are,they actually believe they have the best squad in this league and only count City in the 4/6 placed squad strength list.

Their delusion is pretty much reinforced by the sycophantic media which hails every player and each and every signing as already great or the next delete where applicable

This also highlights how barking mad they went when suddenly they were finishing 7th & scraped 4th, truly everybody else's fault. GPC spent a fortune season in season out until Chelsea tipped up and rocked the boat, followed by U.S. They then got by on reputation and fear with an ever debilitating squad. Now just big spending also rans with an overbearing expectation of success.

I've noted on here before, Van Gaal is a fraud, using huge spending to negate how out of touch his management style & philosophy is, they will win trophies again, but maybe a la Arsenal, the odd cup here and there,, run a few close races in the league, enjoy the occasions, Derby win, but no longer will they dominate and that will take a while for the idiotic fringe of their fans to get used to.

I think it's more a case of their hearts ruling their heads, mate. There is nothing logical about what they are saying. They want us to return from whence we came, and therefore they wish it so. This translates into their 'predictions' about the forthcoming season. People are frequently unable to distinguish what they want to happen, with what they think will happen, many City fans included. They pretend they're not bothered about us, but that is a coping mechanism. Their mask slipped after the Derby at old trafford, last season. They want us to fail so much, it hurts, that's why they'll cling to anything they can to support that aspiration.

It's funny watching them protest that they don't care about us. Anyone who hails from Manchester will know how much it's hurting them.

They're not all completely delusional. Just been chatting football with my rag brother-in-law who reckons their signings should guarantee that they'll be in the mix for 4th place again. He just couldn't decide whether it would be a fight for 4th with the 3rd placed or the 5th placed team. I don't think he's entirely bought in to Van Gaal's philosophy yet!

When they congregate the delusion gets worse and the sickness deepens, there again it will be great to see their blind optimism shattered when they realise that compared to the top sides they're a pub side.
