They are so desperate for the old days to come again they take any small victory as them returning. A new signing scores a goal - they're instantly the new Ronaldo. They win a game against a shit team - they are now going to win the league. It's laughable.

I don't see why people get worked up about the media frenzy about the kid as it happens all the time e.g Jizzyjzz and Macheda. It's not like this has never happened before is it?

To be far it was a good well taken goal, but i would expect nothing more from a £58 million pound signing.
19 year old sub scores for them (not winning goal, already winning) its all back pages, 18 year old sub for City scores winning goal......excuse me whilst I hum and ponder the meaning of life.. :)

I know exactly what you mean and it is frustrating but be honest, if you knew in advance the Nacho and Martial were both going to score yesterday and you were asked to predict what the back pages would have been full of would it have been any different to what has been written? No.

The fact is that the media cater to the masses and it suits them to peddle their agenda, we have seen it before and will see it again.

I like the way that we are kept in the background and all of a sudden the bullshit will come home to roost.

I am waiting for the moment this season when all the media and pundits suddenly realise that Mangala is intregal to the best defence in the league,

Jeez wept, the rags have a thread on ragcafe about it being wrong that the sky pundits on the game yesterday had no links the United, you can't make this shit up. Try watching our games.

Didn't take them as long as I thought it would for him to be mothballed.

Wilson will come on and a bag a half-decent goal against a mid-table team and be proclaimed the new Michael Owen. Then everyone will forget about the next Henry. It's so predictable but the brainwashed mongs fall for it every time.

No mention on MOTD last night about Youngs dive for the free kick that led to the first goal yesterday i see.

Is Memphis Depay not the new Ronaldo anymore, then?

Its gone deathly quiet on this lad. 5 games gone and i'm yet to see anything that deserved the hype he got.

As for Martial, he's looks alright but just as we shouldn't right him off, its a little early for them to proclaim him the new Henry. If I was Henry i'd be pissed off.

beginning to think it was just me , fairly blatant dive i thought , probably with Ashley Young its fully expected and would be more note worthy if hed not thrown himself on the floor , seems to have been shown several times without any of the so called expert analysers actually analysing wether or not there should have been a free kick in the first place

First time I heard Tyler's Aguerooooooooooooo scream, I thought it was a cry of despair (followed by a few seconds of off air swearing), and subsequent funereal commentaries on our goals have confirmed it.

He's as red as a London bus.

I have just watched two clips one of martial's goal and the other Benteke's and considering what a fooking goal Benteke's was he sounded like it was just another tap in.

Terrible one sided commentary.

Depay has been a massive flop thus far, just runs aimlessly into people with the ball, Martial took his goal really well, but it's not a good United side in the slightest.
Nigerian Ian took his well too but we don't call him the next Aguero..
LOL at united... when will they realise that players hyped too early always seem to fail to meet expectations.....

It may be because Nacho cost 58m and Martial came through the youth system....oh...hang on a minute..

Sorry to all concerned, I should have said 18 year old academy player now in first team squad scores city winner..

Im on the naughty step wearing brillo pad underpants... and fully deserved.

With two exceptions (backwards passes) every touch yesterday following Depay's touch was by the opposition for either;

- a throw-in or corner following a blocked pass

- a goal kick following an off target shot or cross

- straight into keeper's hands

- tackled

- misplaced pass

I cant remember ever seeing any premier league player give the ball away as much
