Surely even they can't hire Wio as Director of Football... i think that could be the final nail in the coffin if they do...

Best thing they can do is scrap all this harking back to the past glories, bin off all the old boys, and start again. But, they won't.

And i'm ok with that.

Plenty of miles in thier history to go I'm pleased to say, we've still not had giggsy as full-time manager or Beckham properly involved get.

Just sit back & enjoy.

The Glazers are just giving the moronic fans what they want. Another ex-player from the glory days in a key role because the only way they will achieve success in the future is by reliving the stories of the past. Wio can join OGS around the camp fire with all their media buddies regaling the world on how it used to be and because they were there, it’s guaranteed they will recreate that success.

What a load of bollocks. Like the Liverpool boot room bollocks everything has it’s time and comes to an end. The rags need to reinvent not recycle.

I think Utd are such a bit-player now that my loathing of Anfield-related shite exceeds what I feel for the rags - which is repulsion

The best thing is that there are seemingly United fans on social media who think Ferdinand would actually be a good appointment. I’m starting to think that everyone associated with that club have lost their collective heads. It’s great to see.

I assume if they actually hired Rio it would be Woodward telling him to sit in the corner for a few million a year and let Ed carry on running the show, then in 2 years when things don't improve, Rio can fall on his sword and they'll hire Nani or Anderson to replace him.

On a serious note, it’s beyond my wildest dreams and expectations what is happening to our club and their’s simultaneously. I keep fearing that the last decade has been a dream that I will be rudely awoken from at some point.
Hopefully we won't forget our bad times.
I still have that City Factor uneasy feeling about how we will play despite things changing everywhere.
Perhaps from now on current progress will be the norm but I am not yet counting my chickens.
