Thing is, it's a bit insolent, a "journalist" coming out with this when the whole cash-generating myth of the "United way" is a media-enabled creation in the first place. Carefully selected and relentlessly marketed snapshots of their (and Liverpool's) "history" is exactly why they are the cash cows they are and why they have no choice but to pursue that line of thinking.
