The rags are that deluded that all 1.1 bn probably have an iphone already, after all it's just a vastly overpriced piece of hi-tech tat.But Apple would sell 1.1 billion phones over night. That’s how many United fans there are according to United and their media whores.
Yeah, whether it works or not, I do think assuming that Saudi royalty now have posters of Alan Shearer and the Honeymonster on their walls and wouldn't possibly invest in rivals a bit of a misreading of Vision 2030, and the overall diversification plan. They've invested in 2/3rds of Silicon Valley, many of whom are rivals. They don't see football the same way we see football. The intention isnt to 'win trophies'. Its to polish up the Saudi image to a Western audience. If Saudi Arabia could get two high profile premier league clubs under their portfolio, they would take it. Im pretty sure winning the PL with Newcastle isnt on MBS list of 100 things to do. Guys got more important things to worry about than football results.
Surely:Whose buying them today Amazon?
The point is the Saudi government, or its agencies, won't be able to invest in another club in the same league. Those rules are already in place. So another Saudi-owned club would have to be privately owned, in which case I doubt the owner wouldn't want to be better than the club owned by MbS. I may be wrong, but I just can't square that circle.Yeah, whether it works or not, I do think assuming that Saudi royalty now have posters of Alan Shearer and the Honeymonster on their walls and wouldn't possibly invest in rivals a bit of a misreading of Vision 2030, and the overall diversification plan.
