Spot-on. The only way United can beat us is if they play out of their skin and we play terribly. There is a remote chance of this happening but that's the only chance they have. We all get nervous before Derby matches. It is ingrained in City fans. They have beaten us once out of the last 10 fixtures at Old Trafford. In most of those games we have destroyed them. I'll be there on Saturday and remain very confident.
I think you're underestimating them a tad there but no denying that we've got a fantastic record at The Swamp over the past decade or so. Understandable that the fans will be nervous but I doubt the players will be.

Here's my reply :)
Met him about 15 years ago at a high brow football evening, I got introduced to him and the first thing I said was I'm a city fan but I can appreciate what you've done at United...he looked at me like a piece of shit, when he got up to accept an award a boood the fucker and everyone looked round...probably one of my finest moments...**** !!
@pride in battle Go away and re write your thread, this time it should read.. 'I'm a City fan' and then I decked him.

You had an opportunity thousands of us dreamed of and you wasted it.

The scum have played some trash teams since the World Cup when we turn up they won’t know what hit them with our quality and we take our chance we win comfortably if not be a high scoring draw…

Thing is, I was prepared to be a bit impressed by their recent form. They've apparently won their last ten matches in a row. Then I had a closer look into it.
They haven't played anyone actually decent for months! They were beaten by Villa at the beginning of November. Since then they've won, but it could be argued that the best team they've played since then was Burnley. And let's get it right, Burnley are a good Championship team, but…

RAGs in the office are loitering around my desk trying to engage in pre derby banter. I refuse to speak with most of them as they've never been to the swamp. The one who actually goes is not looking forward to Saturday, would take a draw now and fears we will absolutely batter them. He said they were average last night and struggled to break Charlton down.

My take is the scum have undoubtedly improved under Ten Haag. But when you improve from being absolute dogshit you become average and they are bang average. We wont fear them one little bit, I'll be nervous but guarantee that the players will turn up, run and pass them off the park and we will win by 3.

Typical hype pre-derby. Typical nerves from us! They've not played anyone decent in months and it's good for them to feel confident and excited about the game, because it will hurt more when we school them. We're a million miles ahead of them, and Pep knows exactly how to get the team performing in tough away games. Get your foot on the ball, pass and move, bore the crowd into frustration and dominate from there. I expect the same masterclass as the 2-0 win the last time we were there.
