There's nothing at all stopping United from being a world class side.

Other than the need to:

Replace ownership;

Sign about 8 players who are near the top in their respective positions; and

Instill a winning mentality in the squad.

United are fucked - and will be for the next few seasons at least.

other possible signings had raised red flags however these two have been on the radar for sometime, funny how they didnt disclose these two while the season ticket window was still open at the swamp

I see what you are getting at. I suppose my point is that (say) West Ham or Brighton might not be winning the PL any time soon, but they are well managed and have a coherent strategy. They are not a joke, making ridiculous signings and expecting to win the CL on the strength of them. Their grounds are not falling apart. Their fans have realistic expectations. Above all, they are making small, but sustained progress, not constantly finding a fresh crisis.

The Rags have huge resources (moneywise) but what progress have they made these last X years? At best, they are treading water, and other clubs with smaller resources and much smaller fan bases are doing better.
Exactly.

the penny is begining to drop on the cafe- re Halland/Ronaldo-

Something tells me City planned this signing all along. I think they always wanted Haaland and used Ronaldo to play us for fools, thus, giving them a free run at him.
Christ, we're a shit show in comparison these days and damn it hurts.
Quite funny that they still see themselves as credible alternative for a player.

Has anyone told ten hag he’s managing United?
He seems to think he’s still in charge of Ajax what with targeting arnautavic and rabiot
