The City team that won the old First Division in 1967/68 was (if I remember correctly) entirely English players. At the same time the “History Club” team was comprised an assortment of English, Irish and Scottish.

We won the league in 2012 with Hart, Barry, Milner, Johnson, Richards, Lescott….

That’s a great point. The PL has never been stronger though so probably not. Would any of them get in our team now? Perhaps Barry who was great at keeping the ball.
