He's worth 4 billion not 12. If he bought he would have to borrow. He has stated he has no interest in owning a minority stake.
The Glazers have said they might sell a minority stake so where is the story ?
Exactly! There isn't one except to keep the Rags in the spotlight and to massage the fans egos - Glazers happy to sell a stake, they can say they are listening to the fans, Billionaire shows "interest" but can't afford them (unless as you say he borrows or there is a consortium) both means the Rags are in the same boat with different owners. Any Billionaire will see this as a way to make money, they will invest like the Glazers have (hugely) but also take out just as much. Rags don't seem to remember that they were one of the first teams to float on the stock market, that hugely helped them spend and win trophies (coupled with the new cash cow of the premier league) and since the day they floated they have been an investment and not a football club to their owners, we are so so lucky having the owners we do

Would it not be easier to name players utd are not after?

Scattergun R us.
I can only imagine murtough has printed out the FIFA players for each position in best stats order, and is slowly working his way down each list stack, crossing them off, one at a time - either unavailable or snubbed each time.

Similar to how Rangnick was got by going down the list of best managers, till he got lucky at number 15

edit: Note: Ten Hag is 189th...

Surely Ratcliffe wouldn't be sending £4-5Bn if the Glazers are only interested in selling a 10% stake in the club?
It’s not worth 4bn, whatever the share price says. A buyer would need to spend 2bn to pay off debt, put the toilet to rights and protect his investment with a whole new team. So 2bn is nearer the mark and Glazers would not accept that. Jim Radcliffe deal is a non starter. It would need an American, an Arab, an Indian, or a Chinese with more money than sense to pull it off.
Note: Other rich nationalities are available.

It’s imperative that these wankers fail to get top 4 again this season. Even if they do get a new owner they‘ll then find it harder to sign anyone decent.

I can’t work out why you just keep lying about this?

He's worth 4 billion not 12.

Says who? Because the people who track these things have his net worth as $13Bn (Forbes) or £15bn (British papers) in 2022

He has stated he has no interest in owning a minority stake.

No he hasn’t! This is just entirely made up. He’s said via his spokesman he’d like to buy a minority stake with the view to increasing it later. That’s not “no interest in a minority stake”

The Glazers have said they might sell a minority stake so where is the story

The story is that the richest man in the country has said he’d like to invest in United and their owners are open to it.

I can’t get my head around why you, and one or two others, have to go through insane mental gymnastics to deny the story is real and something might happen. Last night you were genuinely trying to argue that a United are such a great investment the Glazers could never sell, and that they’re such a shit investment no one would ever buy!

It’s not that big a deal! You don’t need to be scared and go into denial.

It probably won’t happen, if it does it’s not going to bring back the 90s, but the story is incredibly well sourced and confirmed by people representing the parties so it’s real, you can stop pretending it’s a newspaper hoax to get clicks off United fans.

Or as you tried to tell everyone last night “anonymous sources telling half pissed journalists”.

radcliffe , if he gets involved, will not use his own wealth to buy utd, but he could become the figure head to attract more 'red knights' on board,

thats why knighton is throwing radcliffes name about , again using other peoples money as he tried in the past

i dont think anyone knows how much it will take for them to shift the glazers but they will probably have to add at lease another £3bn to sort out their ground, internal structure and squad and that wont be a six month job

their fans just will not have the patience to wait that long

theyve missed the boat now, they could always get by before as players would fall for the 'glamour of man u ' nonsense but now it wont wash
