this won’t be a popular opinion but united are currently playing the 3rd best football in the league and I think they will comfortably finish in the top 4

Lets face it they have had decent players but shit Managers . Eric Tent Peg appears to know what he's doing with them. Beware complacency they are the turd that won't flush.

Yeah they'll never go away entirely. A decent manager can get them back in the champs league but imo they are just too dysfunctional and rotten inside the club to get back to their glory days

Because we’ve been mediocre all season

iirc we’re only 2 points behind where we were at this stage last season, and we’ve got a better goal difference. And our xG is almost identical so we’ve not been mediocre, we’ve been within a whisker of showing the form that won us the league last year.

The difference is that they’ve got a serious manager in, ditched ronaldo and improved dramatically.
They have a very expensive squad and deserve to be in the top 3, what’s held them back was piss poor management and playing a bloke who wouldn’t run up front.

A couple more signings (get a proper sweeper keeper in) so that they can play football like tent peg wants and they could be challenging for the title.

Not a nice thought but the truth isn’t made of sugar.

As long they don't finish above us I couldn't give a toss.

Utd fans used to mock Arsenal fans for celebrating what's essentially failure. Its something I like to remind them of when they start to get gobby for beating a few sides that are considered cannon fodder.
