It would seem that we're going to be battered very badly indeed, however I have a cunning plan...

We're allowed 11 players right? Behold: the 3-7-1 formation! This bold new tactic employs three goalkeepers, seven defenders and of course Wout Weghorst. The seven defenders stay more or less in and around our area, forcing City to shoot from range, but with three goalkeepers which is definitely allowed!!! They won't get very far. We hold them to 0-0 and win on penalties where it's Wout's time to shine! Whispering sweet nothings in the ears of the City penalty takers, while our three keepers cover each side they might shoot with one spare to cover the middle!

Literally fool-proof!

Exactly. During the 90 minutes Bayern absolutely battered them. I seem to remember Bayern hitting post or crossbar a couple of times & Schmeical keeping the score down. Before the game went into extra time Bayern should have been out of sight.

Chelsea battered them in 2008, they seem to luck out when they do win European cup finals.

I find it amusing on that forum. They have a lot of non-Mancunian/non-British posters (which is fine). But, because of that, they have a huge number of posters who don't recognise what a local rivalry is (specifically this one). So to them, we're just another team.


This means that there are actually quite a lot of posters on that forum who openly admire the club, which is incredibly amusing, especially seeing how much it riles up the Mancunian posters on that forum.

It is amusing to read, I remember after the 6-1 someone said it did not really matter, to which a Mancunian replied " that he had to go in to work with the "bitter blue bastards " and they were going to be merciless
