So if we went and paid 72 million on a centre forward that had only scored 5 goals in 32 appearance and in a weaker European league, how do you all think the media would portray this? With all the positivity we're seeing right now ?..yep, thought not.

How much was the foam roller ?

Lad scored 9 goals in Serie A, and has 6 in 6 for Denmark. He is only 20 and has good potential and they need a striker, 70mil is still mental though. Although Darwin Nunez was what 65+20mil? So guess it's the going rate these days

It's the going rate for clubs that don't have a fit for purpose scouting system. Their new striker and goalkeeper were bought for loose change last year, the rags have just paid aprrox 120M for them. Part of their problem is that their fan base crave the big money signings and wouldn't put up with them signing prospects.

Over £200M spent this summer!!

And some of their supporters have the nerve to whine and spout hypocritical nonsense about our “state backed” spending.

Oh well Ten Haag seems to be using the cheque book to improve the team. It’s always been the Utd way.

Let’s see if £200M (plus his previous spending) gets more than a Carling Cup.
Yep just after failing FFP also, they have spent the most, pay the highest wages and been sponsored by state owned Saudi Telecom and others for over a decade yet the media gives them a free pass
