The Glazers are not going anywhere soon. The plastic followers can dream all they wish about a knight astride his noble steed, galloping triumphantly into the swamp with billions and billions of pounds in his saddlebags, intent on saving the club from the greedy clutches of the American bad-guys - but it is not going to happen. Not in our lifetime.
It's been mentioned many times before that any new owner will want to go over the accounts from top to bottom: every minuscule detail will be forensically examined by a team of the best finance experts the world has to offer. It will not be a cursory glance at a page of figures and a handshake to seal the deal.
And given the fact that the Glazers have hidden their financial dealings in the Cayman Islands since the takeover, it would appear they have something that they do not want the world to know about, hence the secrecy.
After all the years of subterfuge and financial wheeler-dealings, would they suddenly open up the books to reveal what they have been doing undercover for so long? I wouldn't have thought so.
That's why I say the Glazers won't be going anywhere soon, because they can't. They and the club itself have so many skeletons in the closet the true state of their accounts and details of their business dealings will not be made public in our lifetime
