Kieran Maguire “Everybody is looking at the New York company - Manchester United plc but there is another company called Red Football which is owned by the Glazers and that is forming the basis of the PSR calculation.
"The losses at Red Football Ltd are far lower than they are at Manchester United plc so therefore the extent of the damage is far less than originally envisaged."

Nothing to see here….
Maguire and his type have all made a living out of perpetuating the myth that PSR, FFP or whatever you want to call it is a serious calculation used for the good of all teams and to stop any future Burys etc.
Not one person in the media has the bollocks to call this corruption out and to expose the bastards behind it and what their ulterior motives are.
The trumped up charges were only ever made up to stop us from challenging the cartel, it's so funny that the only shite that hasn't been able to take advantage of the illegal charges meant to stop us are the rags pmsl.
If they don't catch us up in the next 2 seasons rest assured the only answer they have is a European super league.

That's the worrying part of all this, the other clubs CEOs have been brainwashed by the constant party line that they all need a strong utd to keep the sponsors, TV, MSM outlets happy, that keeps revenues rolling in which will keep their own balance sheets healthy so long as they tow the line and never question any unlawful rules.
This is part of the myth that has become the elephant in the room.

The rags haven't been strong for over thirteen years now and the Premier League has gone from strength to strength.

The model that was used to build the PL in 1992 relied on the premis that any team could finish in a European place.

Once it became clear it was the rags, dippers, tarquins and chavs that had cemented their European births; the term "Top Four" was born.

This was the new model "break into the top four if you can" and it became the holy grail.

Although Blackburn achieved it, the top four was never under threat. Spurs flirted with it in 2010 and so did Leicester, but it wasn't until MCFC cemented their place in the top four that the "Big Six" was coined.

This was to become the demise of the rags and yet the premier league remains the most popular league to watch in world football.

Whilst I agree with some of your points there is not much doubt and God knows why, that the rags still have massive pulling power and are a license to print money.
Tv revenues, Sponsorships etc would be hit if they ever got relegated thus anything that can be done to maintain their position will be done as we have witnessed.

I wondered if anyone had shared the above.
It's good for a laugh to be fair - and I'm sure will have raggies everywhere wailing and gnashing :D
Edit: unsurprisingly not open for comments \O/

What exactly has Beckham done to warrant a knighthood? I'm genuinely perplexed. Has he done a fair bit for charities, or something? Must have missed it.
Please don't tell me it's because he played for the rags and that Govan bully for a while.
Let’s just say he’s been licking the right arseholes for the last 10 years or more.

The rags will always generate money because they are essentially a "brand"

This will continue regardless of whichever league they play in because football has become secondary to their commercial endeavors.

Hence the over used term "Un#@ted should be back at their rightful place" which is spewed out by the media and most pundits.

They can't get their heads around the difference between popularity and success. The rags aren't famous for their football they're famous because of their name.

Regardless of whether the rags finish 15th, 9th or 20th in the league will have absolutely no bearing on the sponsorship money that will continue to pour into the premier league.

The premier league is now a brand within its own right and as we (MCFC) a crucial participant saw with the Puma sponsorship these company's are more than happy to invest.

You could say that the rags helped put the premier league on the map but it's the premier league that are now the territory and not the rags.

And they are there because the media keep them there. It is ‘keep the rags in the public eye’ that keeps the money coming in for all those that follow them.

He queued up for three hours to see the Queen's coffin.

Which is fine by me.

It keeps the cycle going. As long as the rags continue to get this level of exposure the pressure to perform on the pitch will intensify.

Remember, football is now secondary to the rags over their commercial endeavors. They're all about growing revenue via the "Brand"

They've realised that it doesn't matter how they perform on the pitch, the money will continue to role in. The past ten years have proved that. Why invest in a football team when all you need to do is keep the media suckling on that very lucrative cash cow's nipple.

I wouldn't be surprised if in 10, 15 or 20 years time from now the Brand will be as big as ever and the football will be nothing more than a nostalgic sense of yesteryear.

One of the guys from work left today said he was going to a company called Threadbare in Old Trafford, I googled them - first result

AI Overview

Manchester United failed to fix Old Trafford roof despite ...
The term "threadbare" in reference to Old Trafford, the home stadium of Manchester United, is used to describe the team's current squad's state. It means the squad is thin in depth, quality, and reliable goalscoring options, and doesn't function cohesively. This implies that the club's team is struggling due to years of mismanagement and a lack of a clear, cohesive plan in building the squad.

In for that Coventry player Sporting signed. Just look at the fodder he scores against.

Make it happen raggies.

It's all in the name,
Come play for us.
Who ?
You knighted.
You mean that I could be ?
We'll write it into your contract.

Apparently Mbeumos "preferred destination" is Man Utd. And Cunha, it seems, always wanted to go to O.T.

What I want to know is - why do these ambitious players want to go to a club that's not even in the Europa Conference nrxt season? Do they lack ambition? Or is it simply the money? In Mbeumo's case, why drop down several places in the PL?

Can anyome solve this conundrum?
Boyhood rags.

True enough.

Just because they are shite and finished 15th, doesn't necessarily mean they are not news. The news becomes how bad they are, and when journalists get a taste for that it goes the other way.

Someone needs to call out scruffy Jim's interview about them being broke by Christmas if he didn't sack 1000 employees.

And then the athletic discovering that the club wasn't actually registered to that Cayman islands account, but another one that is only 55m in the red.

So everything that he said was bullshit.
