United vs. City Pre Match Thread

Was in the City centre yesterday - full of Scandinavians with mega store bags.
Just to make me loathe the scum even more than I thought possible, one gobbled on he City Store window much to the delight of his mates.
I doubt we can win this, but if we did, somehow it would be sweeter than the last few when we were riding high.

Been said before but on every sports channel it's full of ex bin dippers, ex scum, ex Tarquinius plus the odd ex City players who for some reason hate us.......let's shut the f******s up
CTID. Blue moon .......

For me:
Hart
Zabs Vinny manga clichy
Milner fernandinho
Silva Yaya nasri
Aguero

Yaya to play on carrick out of possession to stop him dictating pace. If carrick cannot get his head up we can afford to play high line as they haven't the passing quality in back 4 to expose us. I want to see Yaya tirnjng and driving at rojo / smalling / evans or whoever.
Get silva and nasri moving inside to facilitate full backs bombing on. Whoever they have wide wont cope; dimaria, mata through endeavour, young Valencia through defensive discipline or ability.
Mangala on fellaini at set pieces.
More urgency pace in play; not interested in75% possession in front of two banks of 5. Don't allow them time to reshape - our biggest crime this year in my opinion.
And trust yourselves blues; you're better than United. Work harder than them and your quality will prevail.

Or go 442, have 80% possession and lose.

That's my thoughts...
like Yaya is ever going to do that. Plus you've dropped the best defender in the league.

Just had my morning laugh from SSN.

Player comparisons with Didi Hamann and, you guessed it, Dwight fucking Yorke giving their verdicts.

Sergio v Rughead

Silva v Mata

Yaya v Carrick

Didi playing it right and being impartial.

Yorke picked the scum players as being better in all 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahaha, prick.
He really is a scumbag.

....And father of the year the dim bastard!
The man clearly has no self-respect whatsoever. Leaving his parenting skills to one side, the way he constantly whores himself and his opinions so unquestioningly to anything united shows a complete lack of integrity and any sebse of independent thought. He is simply a puppet without a mind of his own.

Just put this in the General Election thread, but thought it would be OK in here as well!

Red v Blue today. So, with the General Election coming up, and it being Red v Blue as well, here's a question for the Lefties only (no need for those on the Right to bother as it's an easy one for you lot). If the General Election were to replicate today's result, would you be happy with a Rag win today? No skipping the issue, if the Rags win today then Ed is the next PM, if City win, then it's 5 more years of Dave.........I reckon most Lefties would be OK with a Rag win if it meant no more Dave.

Hart
Zaba
Kompany
Mangala
Clichy
Fernando
Fernandinho
Yaya
Silva
Milner
Aguero.

2-1 City.

We haven't played well, but we're still a far better team if we can actually be bothered to show it.

Hold on.....where's Edin?

City win and a Lib Dem outright majority for me malg, seeing as you haven't excluded me from this question ;-)

I can't really understand the enthusiasm for starting Nasri on here. He has more ability than Navas but only when he chooses to turn up. His non-performances at Anfield and the Camp Nou added to his petulant kicking out at players make him a liability, he won't get away with a wild hack with Clattenburg in charge.

He also looks like he's gained half a stone in weight. Pity really because he's more skilful than almost every player who will take part today.

If Hart saving a pen wins it for us - Greens.

Completely agree mate. united need a bitch slapping on the pitch today. They've been surfacing like fucking wood lice in the last month or so, blinking at the light and daring to believe the natural order of things is starting to reestablish itself.

They need disabusing of this notion.

Put my first ever bet on a footy match today £10 City win, 9/1 max first bet with Paddy Power. (Big spender, I know).

Really hope he picks this team because it'll stop them being able to pin us back so easily as Yaya is a much better out ball than Silva who will still get on the ball anyway. Plus we'll have more legs in midfield without Yaya deep and even he could stand with Carrick when we lose the ball because he runs less than Yaya. Whoever plays behind Aguero needs to stop Carrick dictating though. Pretty sure it'll be Silva behind in reality unless he really does fancy the sack and starts Edin again for the craic.

Today of all days City just get them fooking buried for another 6 months eh ? No excuses no shit tactics just put them back under that slimy rock will Ya

It would be funny if he consigned all turtle head's tactics into the bin by playing the formation that was so successful just before Christmas, no striker and Silva up high with Ya Ya just behind him that would fuck them up lol! We would still have Aguero and Dzeko on the bench too.

Dzeko actually has quite a good scoring record against the rags so he may play him much to everyone's dismay.

Summed up beautifully there Bob

Those players have to hit back today and show us fans the real city. Every tackle, every shot, every header like it's their last day on this earth. They should know what today means ! It means everything and they must give everything they have. They haven't given us that this season so today they owe us a million and one percent

Watching sky build up,Souness really is a City fan, well sticking up for us against Neville & Quinn ( to think we used to pay this twats wages)
