**UPDATe new art piece PAGE 12** fave Iconic City Image...My Old Man has started doing 'City Art'

A picture speaks a thousand words.
I thought exactly the same, Frank. A few stand out points for me too: Keith MacRea's hair, Skip's trousers, Stan Gibson's collars and something, I know not what, seems to have distracted Tony Henry (and Asa!). Never realised Ged Keegan was so short either!

Two black faces, @Dave Ewing's Back 'eader 's namesake, the brutalist Main Stand gates that were to bear testament to so many demos over the following two decades - and in the foreground, Peter Swales, like the captain of the Titanic as it left Southampton, master of all he surveys.

Another world.

Edit: Joe Royle's head truly is massive!

What about the women holding a mop in front of her face or the haircut on the bloke next to Bernie Halford?

Great find that picture GDM, I have never seen it before. It really is another world. Those gates remind me instantly of the demos and Brian Who?

Washing basket.......
Oh and some girl has got a red top on, clearly part of the fifth column.

Christ, how could I forget. As a 12 year old boy, watching Roger bag a hatrick for Oldham against us at the first home game of the season was as bad as life got back then. I dont think I ever had faith in City from that moment on.
1-4. Pissed it down iirc. Remember seeing it kick off in the Main Stand at the end of the game.
