US Politics Thread

Everyone who fell for Trump if even for an instant tells the rest of us we should be ignoring him and us triggered keyboard warriors are all to blame for keeping him relevant. It’s not Trump, it’s not his supporters — it’s his detractors. Especially those who saw what he was in 1990 and tried to warn everyone. It’s all their fault.

Uh huh. Sure it is.

Look, I get that those who fell for him for an instant are embarrassed as hell — and they should be — but I’d certainly appreciate it if they admit they fucked the fuck up — if only for an instant — and admit their blaming the rest of us for his continued presence is deflection of their own shame. Which we of course know it is. As do they.

Personally, I’m beyond “laughing at him.” Watching cops have their faces stomped in by the supporters he incited will do that.
And so the cycle continues.......
The bogeyman needs the children hiding under the bed believing in him to keep him relevant.
He might end up arrested/in prison for sure, or this could all turn into the publicity stunt he's after - largely driven by his opponents. We have the same thing here albeit on a smaller scale with Boris in what looks like parliamentary if not exactly legal hot water, while he's mooching around the edges of getting back into power in a couple of months.

Update on the Stormy Daniels hush money case:

It seems that the Manhattan D.A.'s office may want to call additional witnesses and may want to recall Michael Cohen in order to bolster its case; consequently, this matter may linger in the grand jury for the rest of next week, perhaps longer.

I hope that Manhattan District Attorney Alvan Bragg ultimately decides to indict as this will set the precedent for charging a former President, and will relieve pressure against bringing charges in numerous other legal cases now pending against Trump.

His opponents — what, you mean those that, you know, enforce the law?

Apparently this is agenuine Trump post...

I'm not convinced, but you just couldn't honestly say for sure whether or not the former POTUS had actually just reposted a poll by someone calling themselves 'Catturd'

Catturd is a very popular right wing Twitter account. And therefore by definition also a stupid as fuck Twitter account.

Just had a look in our cats litter box and its contents concur - however the cat also tells me the rags need to pair Ronaldo with Cantona up front and they will win the league and that turnip is a wonderful substitute for tomato and cucumber in a salad so I suspect it could be just bull...sorry cat shit

It is almost impossible to parody Trump at this point. Nothing is of limits for him - nothing to dumb.

Once he does get indicted he will have to face instructions from a judge. Can you imagine what he will do when he is told he cant 'truth' about the case. And of course contempt of court is dealt with by fines or jail.
