No “if” about it mate. The gop have zero policy platform and for as long as I’ve lived over here, all their ads are about why you shouldn’t vote for the opposition, rather than why you should vote for them. Zero chance they don’t pick up on this and run on it ceaselessly. I think it will be their central message.

I can’t help but fear the Democrats are sleepwalking into a disaster here.

Biden was massively helped in 2020 by Trump’s calamitous handling of the pandemic and the fact there wasn’t the normal pressure of doing loads of rallies and televised debates.

Biden is an awful public speaker and he’s not getting any better.

What happened to Kamala Harris? I thought during the last campaign she was being pitched as almost a ‘co-President’ and I thought she’d be the nominee in 2024. But since inauguration day I don’t think I’ve seen anything from her at all.

Biden’s approval ratings are awful.

I can see Trump winning again. The American electorate is that stupid.

Standard. Trump had the same treatment last time. What will be more interesting is if Trump gets a clean run. I think it will be unprecedented if he does not have to do any debates. He hasn't done a serious TV interview for a long time. So many questions he would not want to face.

I've already heard he plans to refuse to debate Biden.

Standard. Trump had the same treatment last time. What will be more interesting is if Trump gets a clean run. I think it will be unprecedented if he does not have to do any debates. He hasn't done a serious TV interview for a long time. So many questions he would not want to face.

I know what you mean. But the reality is that name recognition and the ability to fund raise are the two ingredients of success for any campaign. Anything else is a side issue and Biden as current POTUS is going to beat anyone on those 2 metrics.
