If they had any intention of actually passing a vote they never would have come out of conference with Jordan as the nominee. This outcome was inevitable.

Apparently the constitution doesn’t say that the speaker actually has to be a member of congress. Can see the lunatics electing Trump who would then be third in line for the presidency behind Harris.
