Unless you're willing to pay well over face you can't get tickets in NY or Boston. The WC is a bigger joke than ever but the stadiums will be packed. People forget the 1994 WC remains the best-attended of all time.

That's 1 thing I always found interesting.. the pushback from football fans who wanted tickets to remain affordable and here the sports teams are charging $800 for seats per game and people have gone from season tickets to partial season tickets.

Well yeah...it's the biggest sporting event in the world in a 3 countries with 500,000,000 people.

Anything less than fully selling out every game is a failure.

@FogBlueInSanFran

look at this leader of the Dem party,

“There’s no peace in the Middle East bc Palestinians refuse to believe in the Torah. The Torah says it’s our [Jews] land. And that’s why America must always stand with Israel.”

Does he represent America or israel?

I can't wait to vote him and his compatriot Gillibrand out!

The Torah is based on faith, with no credible evidence that it accurately describes real events. If you break it down objectively, it's just another text in a long line of texts that is used by religious folk to 'prove' something favourably in the way of one tribe or another. Absolutely the same for the Old Testament, the King James Bible, the Quran or any other religious text you care to mention.

What he's essentially saying is "You don't believe a version of events that I have no empirical proof are true, so therefore you are wrong, and I have a divine right to take your land".

He's certainly set his stall out there, and it won't end well for him.

Why did you tag me on this? I don’t think I’ve ever once commented pro or con about anyone’s support for Israel or lack thereof.

I think you had a go at me earlier because I said something you didn't like about a Dem.

I tagged you that not all Dems are angels especially their leadership.

I mean just look at this.. https://www.ms.now/news/michigan-democrats-2024-autopsy-2026-gaza-senate

How can they be that clueless and feckless?!?!? Makes my fucking blood boil..

I love AOC and the new dems. They're generally a lot better than MAGA Republicans but

The old ones sometimes are actually taking money by AIPAC and pretending or actually trying to be as bad as MAGA Republicans.

Schumer and Fetterman and Gillibrand are as bad as MAGA.. if it were up to me, I'd kick those 3 and anyone that supports AIPAC out of the party.

I guess you're lucky you don't have that kinda garbage politicians in California now after Feinstein kicked the bucket. But they're alive and well here.

That was from eight years ago. I'm not sure why it's resurfaced, but it's part of why support for Israel has plummeted in the States.

I too was wondering when it was.

@Blue_Lightsaber — Isn’t it possible a number of high-profile American politicians of any stripe have changed their perspective on Israel in the last eight years, and especially since Gaza?

And I don’t recall having a go at you on this, but as I have to remind folks, I have historically tended to vote for Democrats but I don’t always. At this point they are the only alternative for me to any politician who has not specifically disavowed Trump, and even then, some public figures that now have (like Tucker Carlson, e.g.) I cannot forgive yet or maybe ever forgive their avarice and/or moral cowardice.

The reality is most voters are never going to find a perfect candidate who represents each and every one of their views. If there was a perfect choice for my wife in every way but one who was, say, pro-life vs. pro-choice, I doubt that person would be an easy checkmark for her, for example.

But as I’ve pointed out on many, many occasions, I saw this election not as Democrats vs the GOP, but as the traditional democratic process and nation-management vs. those who would usurp it an operate the country as criminals would, including the violence that comes along with that.

I’m picking the former every time.

Yeah I'm the same way. I've never voted for a Republican since my #1 issue is and was always healthcare and they simply don't present an option that's viable.

But I'm starting to get annoyed at some dems and won't vote for them at all.

I get it's not always sunshine and rainbows but at least try and protect our healthcare instead of aid to Israel in form of bombs and funding.

I did vote for Kam though but she seems intent on doing an Israel first agenda and running again apparently

I don’t think she has any chance of winning the nomination in a normal primary process. I think her talk is a trial balloon with no obvious contenders emerging yet save Newsom. And I believe he in turn will end up less appealing than many here think currently.

Right? My response was to the claim US stadiums will be empty.
The stadiums may not be empty, but they won't have anywhere near the number of overseas supporters in the stands that have attended previous tournaments.

I think you're right, and it's a bad situation for the tournament and the game generally. But my sense is FIFA don't care, as long as someone's paying.

Imagine some of the flags that would appear if overseas fans were there, Trump would get some shit.

None of these Democrats can openly say I'm taking aipac or any other superpac money associated with the Israeli first agenda or they are toast at the ballot box. That's how Toxic they now are.

Also

Ro Khanna was brilliant on Fox yesterday torching Trump about Netanyahu & Aipac.
