They’re petrified of the cult and its leader; countering them means losing their jobs because they’re spineless cowards. Santos doesn’t have a cult — he’s a lying little half-fuck; no one’s worried about what he’ll do next if they piss him off (spoiler: go to prison).

They seem to plan on sitting out. I don’t know how consequential their votes are but the margins that Biden won swing states like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin in 2020 was less than 100,000 votes.
 
I just find this Congress expulsion of that weirdo to be a sign of how bizarre it is over there. Quite rightly, that epic charlatan weirdo Santos has been hoofed out by Congress. Shows it works, and can self administer to uphold their values and this constitution they bang about. But the same body has voted to acquit Trump in impeachments for similar and worse transgressions, and Trump started a whole bloody coup against the place and set people about to vandalize it, and he bimbles on like the massiah to 50% of the fucking idiots there. Incredible really. They show that the system can work on one hand
