That is patriotism because it is live and ongoing. MAGA will cheer anything if they think that makes them winners. Especially the warmongers amongst them. "USA USA..." etc.
Once the true consequences to world relations(including military loses) and monetary costs to the US are added up afterward, then i feel that poll might look different.
Trump's plan next is surely to engineer some form of home (terrorist) attack to bolster support for the midterms. He's that ruthless, so even a false flag will do him nicely.
The next american born nutter involved with any major gun incident will be a "sleeper" Iranian...
 
Caroline Leavitt says that boots on the ground is not off the table. What about bums on seats?

I think MAGA supports this because Donald Trump is doing it. If Kamala Harris or any other Democrat — or maybe even GOPer — had taken this route, this poll would look entirely different. It also doesn’t matter what the “true consequences” are. MAGA on the whole will never, ever, ever abandon Donald Trump under any circumstances, ever.

Agree.

I wonder, though, how the referenced poll differentiated between MAGA Republicans and non-MAGA.

At any rate, I expect that support for the war among non-MAGA Republicans will drop below 50% soon, as the price of oil skyrockets.

Here's an interview with a Republican (I guess he's non-MAGA, in spite of The Bulwark's classification) which is pretty interesting.
