Not serious people, only there for performative purposes. All this from the gobshite who WhatsApp'd operational plans to a journalist.
He essentially broadcast mission plans in an unsecure Signal chat, using his personal phone where someone with group admin privileges had added a journalist. He even posted 'We are green on OpSec' in the chat before revealing most sensitive attack plans prior to the commencement of the attack, putting US service members lives at risk. All this from the gobshite who WhatsApp'd operational plans to a journalist.
more localised than national US political news, but seriously where in any other place would this be seen as normal
seriously who goes I need a gun, no actually I need a machine gun, full tactical gear and headset ffs

Side note: my daughters partner works in IT for MoD, even he has to keep schtum. When he applied for the job, Mrs KS and I were both vetted. He essentially broadcast mission plans in an unsecure Signal chat, using his personal phone where someone with group admin privileges had added a journalist. Even the pilots due to fly the Op are not allowed to tell their most trusted family members where they are going in case plans get leaked and the enemy are alerted to the attack before it take place putting lives at risk. Hegseth just blurted it out to a journalist on Signal, and whoever else was listening in.
That incident should have been the end of his career, not least because he should have lost all his security clearances instantly. It should have landed him in jail, but it seems these fucking clowns are immune. He basically played it down to a point where it was just glossed over as no harm, no foul. From what I know about cybersecurity, I'm almost certain that more than one of the personal devices used by those in the group chat would have been compromised by foreign security services.
The administration is a fucking joke.
But I don't have a gun!?!?!Maybe because they all have small dicks??
Bondi and Blanche trying to use a secret meeting with lawmakers to avoid their subpoenas. Dems just had a press conference exposing it. They claim the "meeting" agreed with their republican counterparts won't be minuted or put on record.
In May 1856, Senator Charles Sumner (R-Massachusetts) delivered a fiery anti-slavery speech. He was subsequently brutally assaulted in the Senate chamber by Representative Preston Brooks (D-South Carolina), who was hailed as a hero by the pro-slavery South.
Shortly afterwards, Burlingame delivered what The New York Times referred to as "the most celebrated speech" of his career: a scathing denunciation of Brooks' assault on Sumner, branding him as "the vilest sort of coward" on the House floor. In response, Brooks challenged Burlingame to a duel, stating he would gladly face him "in any Yankee mudsill of his choosing". Burlingame eagerly accepted; as the challenged party, he had his choice of weapons and location. A well-known marksman, he selected rifles as the weapons and the Navy Yard on the Canadian side of the U.S. border in Niagara Falls as the location (in order to circumvent the U.S. ban on dueling). Brooks, reportedly dismayed by both Burlingame's unexpectedly enthusiastic acceptance and his reputation as a crack shot, neglected to show up, instead citing unspecified risks to his safety if he were to cross "hostile country" (the northern U.S. states) in order to reach Canada.
Brooks probably had Bone spursI would actually be fine bringing back this sort of response to MAGA posturing:
But I don't have a gun!?!?!
